The people here will restore your faith in humanity because the ​*ENTIRE*​ ​Burke Brothers​ staff​ is unbelievably delightful and helpful!!! I can't recommend this place enough. As a young woman, I'm used to being treated a certain way at hardware/home improvement stores (you know exactly what I'm talking about). But here, I have only ever been intently listened to and treated with the utmost respect​. Long live Burke Brothers​ Hardware!

PS. Just when I thought that they couldn't get any better, I found out that they adopted two older cats from the shelter to be their rodent control 😻😻😻

Filled a 30 pound propane tank for my RV. Price was good and everyone was very friendly. Genuinely nice, not just faking it.

What a great place with inventory & especially excellent customer service ! Definitely an old-school hardware store, I highly recommend it’s rare, these days that the staff would help you load your vehicle. Been to Ace, and obviously the large chain stores… but this is the best place for solid advice.

If you need any kind of hardware, this is the place to go! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help you find what you need. Plus, they have a great selection of tools and supplies for all your home improvement projects. Highly recommend!

Bought a gorgeous petunia recently. The plants are well kept and healthy, owner very knowledgeable and prices reasonable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They stock nearly everything one might need for home, garden, or workshop (and often things you didn't know you wanted). It's a bit like stepping back to a less complex and busy time... probably good for the soul, honestly.

Honestly, the hardest part of writing a review of Burke Brothers, is trying to think of something that hasn't been mentioned in previous reviews. I have been going here off and on for 15+ years, and I don't think I've ever left empty handed. It is more challenging to get in and out without someone greeting you and offering to help, than it is to find someone to help you at any other hardware store. Burke Brothers is the quintessential neighborhood hardware store, and a tremendous asset to our neighborhood. Highly recommended, if you are tired of being lost at the big box stores, come find an oasis here.

I've used this little hardware store for decades! So much quicker to just run up the street to a local business than to one of the big box stores. They have an amazing assortment tucked into such a small space and they have knowledgeable sales people. I really do recommend them.

A fine establishment...I wish more stores were like this! A true old fashion hardware store where employees are eager to help, and have vast knowledge about anything hardware related! The prices are very fair and competitive with large retail stores, not to mention they carry lots of hard to find items that the “big box stores” don’t carry. This is an amazing place. They literally have everything and the staff is super knowledgeable about EVERYTHING. If you want that hometown hardware store experience check 'em out. Also, they refill propane tanks at a very reasonable price.

Huge selection plus knowledgeable people. Higher quality stuff like Corona landscaping and better nails and screws than HD's Everlast brand. Prices are generally on par, sometimes a little more. I'm heading there now for some paint.

Probably the most convenient shop I've ever stumbled upon. They have everything single little thing i could possibly need to fix and repair my house.. perfectly organized areas in the store for just about everything a handyman could ask for. And the employees are some of the most helpful knowledgeable people I've talked to in Raleigh. Great store overall!

How thrilled I was to discover an old-fashioned hardware store in Raleigh. It’s fun just to go there and poke around, but they are also a wonderful treasure when you need something. The staff is always helpful, and make it really fun to shop there. I hope they remain in business forever. Warning, however, if you take a handyman in there, he may want to spend hours in the store.

Burke Brothers Hardware is old school as they come. I always enjoy going in the store. It is incredibly stocked to the roof literally.

If you can't find it there you didn't need it. The people that work there are very attentive and if you are in the store more than 2 minutes and someone has not approached you you would feel something is wrong. Customer service I believe should be their moto if it isn't already. And I have never asked a question they could not answer.

Customer service is great. I looked for a part for a portable dishwasher attachment in other stores for a day and in 10 minutes they found what I needed in their plumbing section. Job well done.
