Hong Yip Restaurant

Best Chinese I've had in 20 years! Blown away by how good the lo mein is, and the pepper steak is to die for... every single thing I had was perfect, off the buffet, can't say enough good things, so definitely come back!

This is small restaurant with the main Chinese dishes. There was no wait time in the buffet line. There were only two tables open but we were only three people so no problem. Not sure how everyone would fit if there was a big crowd. Honey chicken, sesame chicken, and seafood were awesome. Good crab rangoons and chicken nuggets too. Pepsi was super fresh! Price was very good: $12.50 for dinner buffet with drink. Order was taken quickly and server was very prompt and courteous cleaning all the tables. Will definitely return.

In from out of town and stopped for lunch while filming some of historic Thomasville, GA. The food was fresh and the restrooms were clean. The black pepper chicken was phenomenal. I have no complaints and if I am ever through here again, I will make sure I stop in for a bite.

Their food are so good and have the taste just wonderful. I been coming here more lately then the other New Hong Kong restaurant

This was my first time at hong yip restaurant in everything was good I loved Chinese food it's one of my favorite foods to eat

Don't let the outer appearance of this restaurant mislead you. It had taken me months to actually go inside and try the food; due to the outward appearance. I found out that the food is amazing as well as the customer service and cleanliness!

OMG!!!! I have a new favorite place to eat. I thought I lost my love for food but nope , they brought it back.

This place is finally back open for dine in! For a while they did call in only and you paid on the phone and picked up at the side door. Later it was buffet to go only along with ordering by phone and now we're dining in again. Things are as great as usual. Everything was so clean, a partition was up at the cash register and employees were wearing masks. Our waitress was so sweet and never missed refilling our glasses when needed. Everything was yummy! Can't wait to go back!

OMG! What a selection and the food is awesome!

Being from out of town, it’s usually hit or Miss for finding good food. With a taste for Asian cooking I found Hong Yip. Darn but I’m lucky! The food was hot and delicious and plentiful! My fave is moo goo gai pan. Not only was Hong Yip not a disappointment, but they made me disappointed with places I had it in the past. Hong Yip was very satisfying. Loved it.

I am new to town and this place has become one of my favorites. The dining area is small but it is clean and attractive. Everything I've had from the buffet is high quality and tastes great. The chicken and beef are very tender and not stringy. The hot and sour soup is also flavorful. Great place overall.

Nice restaurant with good food, good variety and the food is always served hot. Dining inside is simple and pleasant.

Food is excellent, waitress doesn't hover over you, but makes sure your drinks are kept full, and it's had the same owner/operator for many years. You can't beat a 99 for past inspection and a 💯 is proudly displayed, now! You can order from menu or eat from the buffet, take out or dine-in. Been eating here for over 35 years!!

Hong Yip is great for takeout. Not only is the food good, but they are extremely cautious with COVID measures. When you pick up your takeout, they use a glass barrier between the outside and inside of the restaurant, with a small door to open and close so that no germs are passed. Calling ahead is best, and pickup is fast and efficient. They've never messed up my order, and it always tastes great.

You need to pay first, and it is self serve buffet. You may also order takeout. This restaurant is very sanitary, very good quality menu, food is delicious. Very affordable, I highly recommend Hong Yip, as one of the best restaurants in Thomasville, GA.
