New York China Restaurant

Just moved here from NY and tried many Chinese restaurants in the area. This is by far the best and closest to “NY Chinese food”. I never wait here. Today (Friday) during prime time I waited which is understandable. I always order in advance so that I do not have wait. Always had a pleasant experience. Food is always great and exactly how I ordered. For people complaining about the door.. maybe talk to them first before assuming it’s because of “covid” because it has nothing to do with to.

I was initially irritated that the business is not inside accessible. So customer service is strange. Best to call in your order for pick up. The food is very good. I was annoyed at first about not being able to go inside the business, but then was wondering if is because they are afraid of what a bizarre person might do. Which leads me to highly recommend this business because the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

This food is so good bro. Not gonna lie, they a little pricey. But the quality of the food makes up for it and it’s ALWAYS nice and hot. My faves are the fried chicken wings w/ vegetable lo mein and garlic sauce on the side. Even the da** sauce was smoking hot.

The Vegetable Mei Fun is pretty good too. Vegetables nice and fresh every time

DEFINITELY call to order ahead of time or order online to avoid the cooking wait. It’ll be worth the wait though

One of my favorite local Chinese restaurants. Excellent food and service! They are a takeout only place right now. One of my favorite items to order is the Singapore Mei Fun.

This is a great restaurant in Oak Ridge, NC. I am now a big fan of New York China. I was visiting the Oak Ridge/ High point areas and went here in my free time for lunch. The fried pork dumplings here were absolutely amazing. They were very scrumptious. The service was great too. The lady who took my order smiled and addressed me very respectfully. There were several kids in the restaurant and they spoke to me and tried to get me to help them play a game. They were adorable. The lady asked if she could take a picture of me with her kids. I respectfully declined, but I was glad she asked instead of just taking the picture like some people would. Great restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was also scrumptious. You have absolutely GOT to try the sweet and sour pork. Never had better anywhere.. and I've been a lot of places and to a lot of chinese restaurants. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely coming back and ill be trying other dishes.

Great food at a reasonable price. I enjoy eating here.

Dad's favorite place and mine when I visit in beautiful NC. Personal favorites are the chicken and pecans, chicken in garlic sauce (extra spicy) luncheon specials. Amazing amount of food for the price. Wonton soup is amazing as well. My only wish is they would open up a sister restaurant in my town.

The best orange chicken that I have ever eaten! Each dish was bursting with flavor and meticulously prepared. It's very rare to find restaurants that care about getting it right and this one hits the mark on every dish that we had: Orange chicken, Sesame Chicken, Crab Rangoon, Fried Pork Dumplings, Hot and Sour Soup. Well done sir! Well done!

I've loved this place since the first time I was there. Family owned and family oriented. Every one is always wonderful. Not to mention how great the food is. If you're nearby. You've gotta eat there. ps. Make sure to try the scallop and white sauce appetizer with your meal!!!

My family ordered from here for the first time. The Steamed Dumplings are better than any restaurant we have had them from. These taste homemade, and come with a ginger, soy sauce different than other restaurants. The General Tso's, Szechuan Chicken, and the Egg Rolls were very good. The in-house made Wonton Soup is also tasty, although the broth was a little salty for me.

I've been going to this restuarant for years. I way prefer it over the one a mile or so down the road. First issue ever and they caught it before we left and fixed it and apologized. They are all so nice and hardly mess up our food and put up with me being picky with my order. Well worth the money.

Great service and very friendly staff. I ask for extra spicy and it was really extra spicy i love it. 5 stars

Quick, clean, and friendly service. We got the Szechuan Beef and Orange Chicken. GREAT flavor and perfect amount of spice. So tired of bland Chinese which seems to be everywhere now. If bland Chinese is your preference, there's a place right down the street for you.

I haven’t found a local place that’s better than NY China. Great food. Good prices. The fried dumplings are excellent and I think the best I’ve had from any take-out restaurant.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Great egg roll. Kung Po chicken was delicious.

Great food, friendly owners..... the only issue I have is the people who order their food and then dispute the charges.. they are locally owned and people getting free food off them piss me off.. they cooked your food you ate it then got it for free. I love the pages of people who did this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call them out. I'd write it on the windows so EVERYONE could see it.. I bet the friends and family of the person would get that taken care of.

New York China has the best Chinese food in the area. They have a longer wait but worth it. Have tried a few other places however this is where I would recommend.

They use really fresh vegetables in their dishes. We always go back when we are in the mood for Chinese.

Food was really great. I got the General Tso with brown rice. The Egg rolls are amazing as well. Defiantly a good place to eat very clean inside too.

The place is very clean and well organized. I go here at least once a week for food. The kids helping the lady are adorable. Food is always hot and delicious.
