Platte Falls Conservation Area

Beautiful section of water. About 5 river miles to put in at the east end of the conservation area and take out in Platte City at the western/downstream side of the park. Plenty of fish, wading birds, turtles, even a beaver!

GREASERAMA BABY!! Every year I go and every year I have such a great time. Great vendors and the swap meet is great. Always leave with a few things. Rat fink tshirt always get a greaserama tshirt and more. Lots dress in pinup style and oh boy the cars. I live it here. Live music all day all night. Never want to leave. Price you get in is great. I cant say nothing wrong about it. Amazing time. Great ppl and always great cars.

Love it! Great place for shotgun shooting. There are no tables or targets but it is a quiet place to bring your own targets to. It is shotgun only and no slugs as well. With it being a conservation area, make sure you pick up your spent shells. There is an archery range just down the road.

I've used the archery range, hunted, fished, and hiked here. It's my go-to "afternoon at the park" place. It's very quiet and has a lot of variety in the scenery depending on where you're at. The archery range is beautifully maintained, with a covered picnic area, spectator seating, large target back stops out to what looks like 50 yards, and targets provided.

Extremely well-maintained area. Very vibrant and beautiful and the landscaping is breathtaking. The MDC employees were very knowledgeable and kind. Great place to bring my family.

The Bow range and shotgun range are great for people who don't want to drive to or pays for a clay range. I've got a few friends who are just getting into hunting and shooting and I take them the Platte falls to shoot Clays. It's a great use of out public lands A+ and the huntings not bad either

I'm hoping I have the correct website to share my feedback. Our independent living facility went fishing today and we had the wonderful opportunity to meet with some awesome men who work for Platte County. Great people!!

Great camping spot. Went canoeing on the Platte River which left a lot to be desired, but still had fun. Too many obstructions in the path of the river.

My father and I use the archery range here on occasion. Looks like a few things were updated recently, the newly replaced targets look great! They keep the lawn petty well mowed, there's also walking paths, fishing, and a gun range so lots to do.

We just drove thru after my grandson's tournament. My husband said he is going to come back, later on, to fish. Nice shelter and plenty of space to run.

This is a public place you can go and enjoy the outdoors. It has an archery range if you want to practice shooting your bow. Today I went to the clay pigeon field where it is shotguns only. Always a good time.

Fondly referred to as "duck head" because of its shape, this unique place offers individuals with their own vessels to put in at one end, spend an hour or two on a nice float, and land at a ramp on the other end a couple hundred feet from where you put in. Great spot!

Only used the archery range which is top notch 👍 Very well maintained with a great all-season layout. If you're looking for a good local range, you found it.

Great place to kayak!!!! Water is perfect! Enjoyed the trees in our path, made it fun. Great time. Wish it was longer.

Very quiet. Lots of wildflowers starting to bloom and the trees are beginning to bud. Of you're looking for nature therapy, this is a good place. 3/29/16

Man-made boat ramp and wildlife sets the mood of peace and tranquility! Plenty of Forrest to explore, and stream to fish!

If you're a city boy without a place to hunt this is about as good as it gets. I cut my hunting teeth here and had good success within a couple of seasons. It's a great place!
