Rosemary's Bay-viewer's Video

This place was one of my top spots to hang as a child, teenager and even as a young adult. Actually if it wasn't for the fact that I moved an hour away, I'd still come say "Hi" to Rosey. Rosemary's was the place to go. Kids would come from all over to play games in the store, hangout, rent or buy movies and games, buy candy, treats, sodas, juices, water, etc. She provided a safe space for all the neighborhood kids to hangout after school and on our days off. This place gave me so many great memories that I hold onto today. She was always warm and welcoming, of course she had basic rules "no fighting, no stealing, no kids before school ended unless with an adult". She helped so many kids who were facing problems at home, feel welcome and secure at her store, it was like we all became a family while we were there. I miss those days but they will forever live in my heart and mind. I have to visit the next time I'm in town. And yes I have old pictures that I will post on my Facebook in a moment. They did the fade, they are older from a disposable camera, lol... remember those? To everyone else, if your reading this, please go visit the store, I don't care if it's been years since I've seen it. Rosemary's video store outlasted every store on that block, it was there before I was born and it's still there now! This place is history, so be a part of it, and take a picture from outside or inside and help us memorialize Rosemary's Video store. Shes a testament to independent working women everywhere! I just went here today because I remember spending a lot of time here as a kid because my dad loved to rent movies. Rosie still works there.

I grew up renting games and movies from this store. I was going in here before I could even see over the counter. Rosemary used to call my grandma and ask if she was okay with whatever I was bringing home(well, when I still couldn't see over the counter). I have infinite love for this place. Lots of great memories... 😎🤙🤗🙂

This place is awesome. I found games to rent on the Playstation that you can't find anywhere else. The Mexican candies sold here have that good old fashioned pure cane sugar that American candies just don't have anymore.

Cute neighborhood store. The place to go for candy, video rental, and pinball!!!
