Stag Barbershop

I've been coming here for awhile now. I like this place for many reasons, the online appointment system they use here (Vagaro) is one of them. This place may seem a little bit on the expensive side compared to other places at first. However, the professional skill you receive here makes it absolutely worth. I've worked with several barbers here and it's clear that this place holds a high standard of talent, skill, and service.

My stylist of choice for a little over a year now has been Andrea. It's no understatement to say that she's one of the best (if not the best) barber I've ever dealt with. She's professional, highly skilled, courteous, and consistent. At this point I stopped looking at myself in the mirror because I know I can always trust the result. Thanks to her, going to the barber stopped being a high anxiety experience and became an enjoyable experience to me.

You'll always be offered something to drink upon arrival. They sell various hair products that you can purchase which you can always try. I highly recommend you try Lock Stock & Barrel products.

If I could give Stag barbershop more than 5 stars for the experiences I’ve had with them I definitely would! From the minute I walked through the front door to the end of my appointment, Stag was a professional and comfortable barbershop experience. Although I have the utmost confidence in the whole Stag teams work, Emily completely knocked my haircut and beard trim out of the park as both were the best I’ve ever had!

Absolutely awesome barbershop. Started going in February of 21' and would never consider finding a different spot. Very clean, awesome atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Prior to coming here I always felt as though my haircut was missing something, however Emily is able to give me a perfect cut every time I go. Always look forward to a haricut and have greatly cut down the amount of time between cuts since I've started coming here!

Love the experiences of this place. The barbers are very knowledgeable and the conversation is great. A classic barbershop. Old fashioned decor in a great old building. Can be pricey depend on the number of services utilized but we'll worth the price.

Andrea was absolutely amazing. I'm from another state and was in town for a wedding, needed a place to get a proper cut and trim. I can say without a doubt that Stag was the perfect place. I've never had a straight razor shave before and I've gotta say it was an absolutely wonderful choice. Andrea pampered me and made me feel comfortable while giving me the best shave and cut I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in the Milwaukee area who is looking for a great experience. Ask for Andrea!

I’ve been coming here since the June of 2011. You will not get a finer cut the way you want it anywhere else. The area they truly excel is the art of straight razor ( shavette) shaves. If you’ve never experienced a straight shave this is the only place in town to get an irritation free shave and be pampered in the old school way. Stag is an barbershop the way barbershops used to be. Get a cut, shave, relax and have a beer. A true gem of of shop in Bay View.

I like to visit barbershops when I travel and this is one of the best experiences I’ve had. Aidan killed it with my haircut, beard trim, and straight razor shave. The place has a cool vibe and I loved the PBR while I waited. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Stag and I was overly impressed. The owner, Jess, was very pleasant on the phone when setting up my appointment. when I arrived everybody was masked up with face shields and spraying down the chair after the previous customer was finished. My stylist, who is an apprentice, was Emily and she was fantastic to work with. She gave me a really great haircut and the conversation was very fun and comfortable too. I will definitely be a regular at Stag from now on!

I showed up early, was greeted right away, and offered a beverage of my choice while I waited for my barber. When it was my turn Hakim called me over ask how I wanted my hair done. I told him the last barber kind of gave me a hack job. Hakim didn’t hesitate to start working his magic, he is a true artist and transform my hair back to being a masterpiece. Thanks! Definitely would recommend anyone looking for a new barber go check him out!

I was feeling adventurous after quarantine, so I started trying out a bunch of new places and by far had the best experience at Stag. A lot of other shops I’ve tried have delivered good enough results but at times have felt a bit impersonal and as though something was missing. When I called to make my first appointment, the owner Jess answered the phone and was immediately super friendly. Jordanne gave me a great haircut and good advice. Overall, it was just fun to hang out. Can’t wait to go back!

The is by far the best barbershop I've ever been to. Great vibe (hipstery), amazing barbers, friendly experience. This was the first time I've ever left a cut feeling super good about it (Kristen). She is an amazing barber. The cuts are a little expensive, $35, but it's worth every penny! As long as I live in Milwaukee, I won't go anywhere but Stag 💈.
