Prehistoric Park

We all enjoyed coming here, the path you walk is nice and paved, well shaded also if you have a someone in a wheelchair their is plenty of room. The dinosaur are really neat to look at and as you walk around they have dinosaur sounds playing on speakers, my kids loved well worth the drive to see it. The only downside we walked through it in about 20 minutes, and for 2 adults 2 kids it was $45 so keep that in mind and really take your time to look at the dinosaurs and enjoy the path. There is a gift shop to, it's a but pricey and a fun photo booth.

My kids and I had a blast here! They were so excited to walk through forest path and see the dinosaurs, and they absolutely loved the ones inside that move. Some of the outdoor dinos could use a little work since they've got damage, but these things happen with outdoor exhibits. The playground was a great way to end the outing and the gift shop had fairly reasonable prices. Overall, we'd love to come again next time we're in the state.

The Christmas trail is our absolute favorite! All the beautiful lights and characters are so awesome! They even have snow for the kids to play in! You can tell the time and dedication they put into everything. Hope this stays around for years to come.

Awesome experience! Definitely get some bug repellant if you go though! It was really neat to walk around and see the exhibits. Its fully wheelchair accessible with a concrete path all the way around. :)

My family and I had the absolute greatest time here, I brought my parents and sisters here because my two boys love dinosaurs. We had a blast, the effort and time to create the attractions is tremendous. If you have young kids and want to amaze them go to the Prehistoric Park, and if you have a both older kids bring them too because right next door is go carts. The staff is polite and professional, 5 stars is not enough to rate my experience.

Wonderful people who work here, we waited in traffic for over 2.5 hours due to road work and didn't think we would make it by closing. We got there 30 minutes before closing and they allowed us to walk through. It was the best adventure and learning experience for our children and absolutely fell in love with it! I recommend prehistoric park to anyone with young curious children or anyone that loves prehistoric history.

This was a MUST-SEE for any families with dino lovers. I loved that we could walk our dogs through since we visited here after check out. The younger kids might get a little scared, but “just right”- very well done to make this an amazing family visit.
Next door is the Cajun Fast Track. This place is located behind the Cajun Palm Resort, very close to I-10. Perfect for stretching the legs on a road trip.

Was such a fun experience with the kiddos. Friends of mine told me about this little gem. Took the drive from Baton Rouge and wish we've known about this place a long time ago! Wasn't busy when we went and we loved the clean environment. Staff was friendly as well! I'm sure we will back very soon for another dinosaur adventure!

In the brochure it says 12 acres, but it takes maybe 20 minutes to walk through the whole thing. Some of the dinosaurs are animated. At the very end, you go through doors that have animated dinosaurs roaring at you, so some kids may not like that. The gift shop is huge and not bad on price. There's also a playground & sand pit where you can dig for fossils.

This place is awesome! I have a 3 yo son who's world revolves around dinosaurs. I have never seen him so excited in his 3 years of living. Definitely worth checking out.

Super great time here! Perfect Jurrasic theme! We have the biggest 12 year old dinosaur lover in our group and surprised him with this trip. He absolutely loved it! Some of the dinosaurs on the trail could use some TLC, but the kids didn't notice one bit, and were still thrilled! More people should go here so we can all help invest in giving the dino's a face-lift! 😀 Mrs. Theresa and her husband are the sweetest people and totally hooked us up by putting Blue out in the gift shop for our dinosaur boy! We would've loved to have spent more time here and gone through the trail again, but we had gotten there later then planned and then our group got a bit sidetracked at the arcade place that we hadn't known was next door, and we missed our window to head back over before they closed. Even with the laser tag and bumper cars and games and such at the place next door, not only the dinosaur connoisseur in our group, but several other kids as well, still said the dinosaur park was the best part of the day! That should tell you all you need to know right there! Thank you so much, Mrs. Theresa (and your husband, who's name I didn't catch!) for going above and beyond to make our experience so wonderful! We appreciate y'all so much! We definitely plan to return!

Attended a birthday party at Prehistoric Park. The nature walk was great, so shady! Our grandson loved all the dinosaurs. Cool little gift shop too!!

It was surprisingly not that hot walking the trail. The canopy of trees is helpful. Thus was really fun.

We had a great time walking thru the dinosaur park with all the Christmas lights & Christmas decorations. Also, the grinch and Cindy Lou was there.

It was a very good place to bring your family for history and fun. The dinosaurs are very realistic. The parking is great with a nice gift shop. The gift shop is a little expensive.

Such a good time. The grounds are well kept up. And our 3 year old girl had a blast! The employees offered us a wagon for free. The playground is also well kept. The fossil bend was a favorite. We dug up bones and dusted them off with the brushes provided. Dont forget to bring cash to take a picture in the photobooth!

Wonderful spot near the RV park for the family. The Christmas display was awesome for any age as I was there with my special needs daughter.

We loved this park! Very budget friendly & family friendly! My 7yr & 9yr loved reading all the facts and taking cool pictures! They cant wait to go back!
