I came here reluctantly at first but I've had far too many good times now. It's a quiet little place filled with devoted game nerds but it's colorful and fun. You'll be glad you came

Jonathan runs an incredible store at Game Cafe! Easily the best board game store in the Kansas City metro! I highly recommend checking it out and one of my favorite parts about their business is their support of nonprofits in our community! Definitely go take a look!

Good prices, extremely friendly staff - went to a Pokemon event with my 7 year old, and had an absolute blast. they were extremely welcoming to him, and were happy to have him join the event on the day. Will definitely be attending again, totally worth the drive out if you're not from the Independence area!

Very knowledgeable people work here. The ambiance is amazing and makes me feel like I should be in a d&d game. I just may join a group there one day soon because it feels like a place that I'd actually like to game at.

This is an amazing store. Not only can you find some of the most awesome games here. On certain days you can come together with others that also love to game and find your people. The staff teach how to play the games. Just wow!!!

Best place to get your "gaming" needs. I could spend way too much money here. I always see something else I didn't know I wanted when I visit.

Great place for nerds, especially warhammer and D&D nerds. They have game nights Tuesday and Thursday for both warhammer and magic the gathering.

The store is always active with engaging and knowledgeable staff especially the manager Johnathan, they have the best selection of Boardgames, MTG,Warhammer, etc and if they don't have it in stock they know where they can and can get it for you.

While they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, they were very friendly and helpful in pointing me in the right direction. This definitely feels like a safe space.

Honestly my favorite local store in KC area. Always a good turnout for the yugioh tournaments and staff is friendly.

This place is rad! Love coming here to play fighting games. Don’t know much about the other activities here but the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The shop is well decorated and organized. Very cool spot for all types of gamers.

I've been going here for nearly 13 years. It's my favorite game store. Welcoming. Tons of events. Helpful staff.

I appreciate the open tablespace. My kiddos can take advantage of it for playing chess or d&d. The pricing isn't bad either, I have picked up some mini paints etc in the past. There is a small premium versus Amazon yeah, but it's tiny for the benefit it conveys to the local community.

I booked their basement gaming area for my baby shower and we had a great time! The price was super fair and we had the downstairs area to ourselves for the whole day! We played lots of board games, I set up food, drinks, and desserts. Alot of my guests also bought things upstairs in the game shop because we like to support local game stores!

I decided to randomly poke around this place for fun, as I'd never been here before. Soon enough, a group of guys playing D&D invited me to join them and I had a great time! I was impressed at how many people were there. But it's not totally surprising since there are three stories.
They also have a wall full of demo games that you can try out. I love it when game stores have that!
