Rise & Grind Cafe

Stopped in with friends and had a great experience. I wasn't that hungry so I asked for a salad. They allowed me to build my own/custom salad with a tasty house dressing. 🤌🏾 Very accommodating staff, great food and atmosphere. My friends raved over the salmon croquettes.

In the heart of a historical neighborhood, you'll find this cafe', where old Milwaukee meets new Milwaukee. Here, the staff is friendly and the chef's take time to craft delectable food and baristas serve tasty coffee and smoothies. I must add that Rise and Grind Cafe' is the only establishment that I found that offers vegan soul food options regularly, in addition to made-to-order vegan breakfast items such as french toast, eggs, sausage, grits. But wait, plant based hot dogs, burgers, and deli sandwiches are on the menu also!

Nice, clean atmosphere! Younger staff that are very gracious and hospitable. Sunday brunch was 5star! Blacked eyed peas, rice, collard greens, very well seasoned chicken, candied yams, bacon, eggs, sausage, grits and cornbread. BAAAABY!! Combine that with listening to old school music by Al Green & The Temptations made me feel like I was back at my grandmama house. Best brunch in MKE!!

The food was fantastic. It reminded me of my mom's Sunday dinner. I love how the young people are fully involved in the running of this business.

Food is always consistently fresh and tasty. Great place to meet up. I had the Omelet special with cheese, spinach, Turkey sausage, onions, and red peppers.

Saturday morning breakfast brunch was outstanding everything was great.

I went here for the first time and fell in love with the French toast meal and grits! Everyone was friendly and atmosphere felt cozy. I’m glad I stopped here today. Grits were amazing. Thank you ❤
