Ruth has been cutting my hair for 10 years now. She’s an excellent stylist and a lovely human. I always receive wonderful service from her. Often, I see young kids in her chair before my appointment and it’s incredible to watch her with them. Kind, thoughtful and always conscious of her clientele. Highly recommended!

Ruth is amazing. Kind and professional. She not only cuts my hair but also cuts my husband and sons hair. Once my daughter is ready for a haircut she will be next in the chair. She's great with kids - my son got a huge change in hairstyle going from long to short hair and she made him feel super comfortable. I highly recommend her!

Jess has been cutting my hair for about 8 years now. I refuse to have anyone else handle my sweet locks. She's super friendly and insanely good at what she does. Too bad I can't style my hair the way she does it! Her music is always spot on in the shop as well.

This barber shop is incredible. I've lived in Wisconsin for a little over 4 years and was worried about finding a new barber shop.

Ruth has been cutting my hair almost exclusively but I've had my hair cut by everyone at the shop and it has been an incredibly positive and professional experience.

If you like a clean and comfortable environment paired and with good haircut and in my case a beard trim than this is the shop for you.

This is the BEST haircut I have ever received! I am from out of town and came in and the experience was superb! The atmosphere inside is relaxing and Jess was welcoming and knew exactly what she was doing. If I lived closer, I would make this my go to barber!

Ruth is the absolute best in so many ways. She is a master of her craft and beyond that she is a damned good person who is caring, giving, open minded and supportive. She deserves all the accolades.

When my 3 1/2 year old wanted her midback length hair cut to shoulder length and rainbow colored, I knew exactly who to take her to. I've been trusting Ruth with my hair for much longer than my daughter has been alive; almost two decades back to when she first started cutting and coloring hair. I had no doubt she would come through now and she did with flying colors (pun intended)! Her new home at Banded is a treat too. It is a perfect blend of classic and modern aesthetic with an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. But don't take my word for it, check her and Banded out yourself!

Ruth has a gift. They listen to just a feeling of an idea I have about my hair and then they execute the cut I didn’t know how to describe technically. Love having this shop nearby and I love getting my hair cut there.

I absolutely love this place! I've had my hair cut by both Ruth and Jessica, and they both are the absolute coolest, most down-to-earth, skilled people. I normally have a bit of anxiety about communicating when I get my hair cut, both about what I want, and small-talk. They made me feel very comfortable and helped me get exactly what I wanted. Plus, the interior of the shop has the coolest vibe. I love the colors, furniture, plants and signs. I'd like them to come decorate my apartment. 5 stars all around for this business!

This salon was a lovely experience. The location has a cool, modern, eclectic vibe like a fun bar you want to be in. The music was pleasant without being overwhelming. I love the hand stained wood panels on the ceiling.

Ruth, my stylist, was fantastic. I asked her to fix my old grown out home dye job and otherwise said "just do something to this mess". That led to me being able to walk away with a fantastic cut, color, and style. It's freeing to know there is someone you can trust to just do a great job without having to hand hold them through the process. I would highly recommend her and this salon to anyone looking for a top notch experience.

Ruth is the best barber/stylist/hair master I've ever had! She is kind, personable and funny; a rare combo indeed. I love her personality and have never been disappointed in the results. In fact my partner has commented on how good I look every time I return from Ruth's chair. The atmosphere is second to none as well. Keep up the great work!

Ruth at Banded Barbershop did such a phenomenal job cutting my hair. She spoke to me at length about the reference picture I brought in, and listened patiently while I explained what I did and did not like about previous haircuts I had. It truly felt like we were having a relaxed and supportive conversation and the haircut didn't start until I felt totally confident we were on the same page. Through her expertise and skill she was was able to perfectly translate my reference picture to work on my length, texture, and density. Such a positive experience!!

I was extremely anxious about getting my hair cut. Ruth was friendly and comforting off the bat. I could tell she knew what she was doing when cutting my hair. Overall it was a professional and pleasant experience! I’ll be going to Ruth for my haircuts for the foreseeable future!

We loved it. My son has spd and generalized anxiety. Ruth made my son feel comfortable and he was talking her ear off by the time it was over. She didn't rush us and took the time to really listen to what he wanted. It took us 10 years to find someone he'd be comfortable with. We will be back from now on. Also, the place was clean and no one else was there. Loved it!

I have a kiddo who has thick hair full of cowlicks all over and has a strong preference for longer hair. Ruth does a killer job maintaining my kiddos hair! The space feels so safe for all humans with all kinds of hair. We love the respect shown for tiny people!!
