Nice early morning breakfast and coffee spot. Highly recommend this place to get your day started.

There are a couple different cafe/coffee shop near downtown, they all have different vibe, and each of their own. Mean Mug kinda artsy. Food choices are limited compared to Koco or Tia. But you don't go to a cafe for food anyway.
Drinks wise, they have more choices than others, menu also Starbucks like so very diverse.

One of my all-time favorite coffee shops. Great service, always friendly, plenty of available tables to meet friends / listen to live music / work... And the coffee is harvested by the owner in Guatamala, so it's farm to table - fantastic coffee experience!!!

Lovely cafe in downtown Salisbury. Went to get some stuff done, and it had a wonderful atmosphere, good service and plenty of places to sit for it’s size. Plenty of drink options, of which I ended up getting an iced chai with oat milk, and it was superb.

I go to Mean Mug almost every morning and good conversation. The barista is very friendly, the coffee is excellent, and they treat me like family when I walk in. The story behind Mean Mug is a true success story. I also love that they are expanding and have more locations in the area. You would be hard pressed to find a better person than Evelyn Medina (owner). HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mean Mug. Please do yourself the favor of trying them out!

I've been going to the Mean Mug location in Salisbury on N Main Street since I started working for the county a year ago. Ashley has been a fantastic barista!

Ashley always greets her customers with a warm and genuine smile. She's attentive to what I order. The coffee is always hot and fresh.

I get a small breakfast plate almost every day. Egg whites with fresh spinach and sausage patties. The dish comes out hot and seasoned like I want it.

The town square is lucky to have Mean Mug and Ashley taking such good care of our community and the need for our morning coffee.

So I went into this little coffee shop because my niece was dying for a latte after we had frozen our butts off watching the parade. So I was definitely up for going inside somewhere and having something hot. There were paintings on the wall by local artists, which I loved, because I'm an artist myself. After we ordered our drinks, we sat down at a little table. The place is quite small but very quaint. And the staff is super polite and friendly. I ordered a hot chocolate, and when I sat down and took a drink, I was seriously disappointed. It was by far the worst hot chocolate I had ever had. Tasted very watered down and not sweet at all. Not even a little. But it was only $3 and we were so cold that I was just happy it was hot. So I went over to the counter and grabbed a couple of sugars, and put it in my cup. When I went to stir, I noticed the stirring stick dragging on the bottom of the cup. It then dawned on me that there was something in it that hadn't been mixed up all the way. Once I mixed it up I took a drink, and I'm not sure if it was the two packets of sugar I added to it or if it was just that good on its own, but that horrible cup of hot chocolate was now the best cup of hot chocolate I had ever had, LOL. So in conclusion, I definitely liked what I ordered, I definitely liked the service, I definitely like the artsy atmosphere, and I definitely recommend the coffee shop.

I ordered the Double Espresso Shake and a Breakfast Bruschetta. It was absolutely delicious. The sandwich was made 100% fresh and the service was prompt and friendly. Definitely stop by here. Go out of your way if you have to. It's so good.

We found this jewel on our way through NC using the Google "search along route" option. The food was delicious and the coffee was so good I had to buy a mean mug. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was small but very warm. It was easy to find I'm parking right out front even though it was in a downtown area.

The chai latte IS the best latte I've ever had anywhere! We also had a cheese Danish, apple Danish (both delicious) and some kind of caramel I think machiatto? Hot coffee, everything was superb! When we come back through Salisbury we will visit again, ciao😊

Have always loved Mean Mug. The new location with the drive-thru just adds to how wonderful they are. Today was the 1st time I got lunch, usually I drive-thru for latte and bakery item for breakfast. I got their BLT. I was concerned because this time of year BLTs can be iffy since it's hard to get fresh tomatoes. Their BLT is awesome! I got a Cheerwine latte for my husband, who isn't a latte person, and he really liked it. I got my usual Chai latte which is always good. The service is always great.

Great coffee, great service and great hang out spot. Owner is very kind and talked with us about the business and the fact that her and her husband grow their own coffee in Guatemala.

Great place for coffee! There is lots of seating and some unique drinks, including a cheerwine latte I was too afraid to try! The barista was really nice and quick to make my order. A great place to stop if you’re walking around downtown Salisbury or driving through.

I love their coffee and the staff is always amazing, I haven't tried food yet but I believe it would be delicious. Food on my list of stuff to try there.

First time visiting mean mug. Super cute place the barista was also super friendly and had excellent customer service I tried the Cookie butter chai frappe it was delicious l will definitely be back!

I absolutely enjoyed my time at this Hispanic themed cafe, from the beautiful Hispanic heritage local art on the walls, to the friendly customer service, to the delicious food and drinks. I highly recommended this cafe to anyone looking for a modern and cultured breakfast and drinks.
