Midwest Power Gym

If you’re a powerlifter and love an old school feel, you’ve got to go to Midwest. It’s got a great atmosphere and has everything a powerlifter needs. The atmosphere is great. The other people that lift there are awesome. If you get there at the right time and there are people there, it’s surely to be a great time. It’s mostly service for yourself after you pay online, but you have any questions, it’s more than likely to get answered in about 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend going here over a commercial gym if you’re a serious lifter. Not to mention that almost all the equipment is competition grade.

If you are looking for a gym with top quality equipment as well as a supportive group of people to train with I would highly recommend Midwest. Not only are you getting the best equipment around but you are getting a community that is supportive and motivational. Even if you are new to lifting, the people there will take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed at the gym.
I can not say enough good things about this gym. Cooper, the owner, is also very active in making sure the members are feeling welcomed as well!

Midwest Power Gym is always a must go to!! The gym utilizes both kilogram and pound plates, as well combo racks and a plethora of dumbbells, accessory machines and a new Rogue belt squat machine! I’ve trained here for multiple years now and have had a great experience every single training session whether it be the positive environment, the people, or the equipment. If you’re looking for an elite level strength gym in the Milwaukee area then this is it.

I live in Hawaii and travel a lot for work but when I’m in Milwaukee, this is the gym I go to. It’s a smaller gym but they have great equipment especially for power lifters. The people who train there are great as well. All good and positive vibes every time I been there. I also love accessible it is because you can go into the gym by using a code and not having the staff to be there. For someone as busy as me, I just wanna get in and get out. Speaking of staff, I’ve had the opportunity of meeting the owner. He’s very professional and friendly. He’s also a competitive power lifter and knows his stuff! You can tell that he really thought about what was needed for powerlifters in the Milwaukee area. I believe people who run businesses should also be well in the know or have experience in the industry personally for themselves about the business they run and he is just that. I’m definitely coming back.

Midwest Power Gym is THE strength gym in Milwaukee. The different bars, racks, and weights are PRISTINE! And the options of chains, bands, grips, etc. let you switch things up. Another major perk is the fun and friendly community. Many of the lifters here are willing to give you a spot or advice, and in general are just some dope people. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced lifter, this place has exactly what you need (and some extras) for building strength and power.

Midwest Power Gym is a top notch training facility with an incredibly friendly atmosphere of people looking to help improve themselves and others. All the equipment is incredible and you the gym keeps getting better with the addition of a belt squat. The gym owner and patrons all treat the gym with respect a wonderful place for people who want to compete or just get stronger.

I love this gym. As a female powerlifter, finding this space has meant a lot to me personally and really improved my workouts. Everyone is supportive and friendly, but they also mind their own business when it's time to mind your own business. In this gym, I don't have to deal with unwanted attention or advice from the old gym bro crowd. People in this gym are dedicated to the sport and take it seriously, and they take other athletes training alongside them seriously, regardless of gender. It's also great that I can avoid the bodybuilder crowd and there are not mirrors here. It's a powerlifting space. The equipment is new. The gym is clean. I love this place.

Cooper has done an incredible job building a local powerlifting gym here in milwaukee. Midwest has competition equipment, a few machines, deadlift bars as well as a few other specialty bars. Most importantly the members are amazing and will all quickly become your friends. Great gym, I cant recommend it enough.

Make it a must to stop for a lift when in the area. Wether you’re prepping for a meet or just lifting for fun, Midwest Power Gym is a great place to train. Competition racks, kilo plates, and free weights available. Not to mention the great atmosphere and support from other lifters!

One the best environments for buildings strength in all of WI. The patrons here are very welcoming and encourage new people to join in the quest for gains. Fantastic equipment, kilo plates, conversation racks, heavy dumbbells, etc. Coop is a very caring & cleanly owner. I would recommend Midwest to anyone.

The best gym for strength training in the Milwaukee area! Love the equipment, the atmosphere, and the people. I would recommend this gym to someone who is first getting into lifting all the way up to an elite level strength athlete.

Love love love coming here when I'm in town!! The only gym in the Milwaukee area that has equipment for serious lifters!! Not to mention everyone at the gym is incredibly helpful and welcoming. Always a fun time training at MPG!!

Amazing local powerlifting gym in the Bay View/Downtown Milwaukee area. Midwest Power has the best competition equipment in the area and the best community as well. Members are extremely friendly and helpful. Equipment is kept very clean.

This is a great gym. I've been lifting here for alomost a year and I love it. The owner is a world record powerlifter who knows his stuff, and is the nicest guy around. The equipment in the gym is competition grade powerlifting rigs and weights. Everyone at the gym is super nice and helpful. If you are a powerlifter who wants to compete, or just train with people who do, this is your place.

If you just want to get strong... also your place. I am a nearly fifty year old woman. I started powerlifting about two years ago. I came to this gym because the globo-gym I went to just was not into a woman (especially one my age) lifting heavier than most of the guys there. I have found a wonderful community of people at Midwest who are supportive, non-judegemental, and super fun to hang out with.

This place is a gem and Milwaukee is super lucky to have it!

Greatest powerlifting gym in the Midwest! Environment is key when picking a place for trainning and the environment here is great! Very community oriented and everyone is there to help! Wish I could come here more often!
