Great food. Small town atmosphere. Really good country cooking, family owned business. It's really hard to find good food fast for lunch and this fits the bill. So much better than burgers and fries from the big box stores.

Really good southern food. I like the mashed potatoes and chicken the best. The fried pork chops are delicious and the sweet tea is really really good. All the sides are great. It’s buffet but they serve you so all the food is ready to eat. Only negative is it seems like every time I was to go they’re closed. They’re closed on weekends and close at 7:30 during the week. They closed for the entire week of the 4th but good for them! We will be back many times.

Cafeteria style with delicious home cooked food! Nothing fancy but the best southern style food in Central NC! Eat it or take out. You get more than enough food too! I get 2 plates and it feeds my husband and I dinner and enough left over for his lunch for work the next day for $25.

The food is delicious & the quantity given is worth the price. The employees are nice & make sure you have & get everything you need.

This place is absolutely amazing! Such a small town feel and great service. The food was great and the prices are very affordable.

This is one of my favorite places to eat dinner while working in Butner. The food & customer service is really good and they always have a great variety of different items to choose from daily.

I love going to Home Plate to get homemade food. I'm not a meat eater and I still have great choices of food.

This is one of those local places that has AMAZING food and folks. It's not much to look at, but definitely worth the visit. Chicken and dumplings are the absolute BEST. Fried chicken and pork chops are also fantastic. Good portions and fabulous prices.

This place doesn't make bad food at all. I've been a patron of it for a long while now, and I haven't had a single plate of food from here that was bad. Y'all all need to go check this place out.

Great home cooked southern food, my fave is the sides- broccoli, cabbage & okra!! Folks serving are kind and witty! Love the restaurant and atmosphere! Definitely recommend for good ole southern comfort food!

Their food is always hot & great tasting, service is good & fast & the price is good especially for the amount of food you get too!!

Had fried chicken,Brunswick stew,green beans ,Mac &cheese and hushpuppies this place is a little gem the home cooking was amazing I have just found me my favorite place to eat not much to look at but the people are so kind and food perfect in my eyes😊

We needed to have our daughters’ sweet 16 birthday celebration catered & Home Plate saved the day! Our guests kept talking about how yummy the food was throughout the whole event. The experience was wonderful from start to finish & James at the Butner location is top notch. Very friendly, helpful, & went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The price was very reasonable compared to other catering services & the food was great. What more can you ask for?..Thank you Home Plate!

Nothing fancy establishment wise... But the food is AMAZING!! 😋😋 Especially the chicken and dumplings!!! It's like someone's Grandma cooks this food!

Well, well, well. Another good one. This is definitely a hidden Gem. Very good tasting southern style food. I love the fact that there is a limited selection for the main course and they have definitely perfected it. I would definitely recommend, if you're driving thru the Butner area. Ask Somebody !?!?!?...

Comfort food in the best way possible. Served to you with a smile by friendly people. 😊 For the portion you get the price is amazing. Plenty of seats inside or grab it to go. Either way it's a solid choice.
