Legend's Restaurant

We went to Legend’s to celebrate our anniversary, and they did not disappoint. When we reserved the table, they noted it was our anniversary and put a white tablecloth down JUST at our table. We used to go there regularly when we lived by campus but it got off our radar.

Erin our server was precious and gave good recommendations, and I was so pleased they still have a piano player even on a random Tuesday night ..

I had the blue cheese balsamic steak, cooked perfectly and was SO tender (wedge salad preceded, I had forgotten about the bacon bits so yummy) . Jim had the crab cake topped tilapia, and it was flavorful and also cooked perfectly (so easy to overcook fish), and potato and pork soup, which he said was very rich and satisfying.

I will say I couldn’t eat very much of my entree bc it was very rich, AND I tried not to eat my bread but it came out so fresh and that extra cold butter…..I couldn’t stop. I recommend going easy on that bread so you can enjoy the sour cream chive mashed potatoes.

Amaretto chocolate cake for me (my favorite for decades) and cobbler for my husband, also perfect. Even though I was full I somehow managed a few bites of my cake.

The idea that they put down a white tablecloth on a slow Tuesday night JUST FOR US is beyond special. We saw some friends from leadership Norman and had a deluge of memories from there.

There is an upscale steak restaurant that we went to on the west side, and I’m not sure we will go back. Keep the Legend alive! So glad to put this restaurant back on our regular schedule.

The best restaurant experience in Norman thus far! We were greeted promptly and warmly before being seated immediately.
Our server Cassandra redefined the word "customer service." She was warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and treated us like we were the most important people in the restaurant. We will definitely return and will only be seated in her section!
The food was served exactly as ordered and was prepared with passion and expertise.
If I could give our experience 10 stars I certainly would!
We will definitely be returning as often we can.

Loved this restaurant! We had a delicious dinner in what felt like an old tavern turned art gallery. Husband had the duck tenderloin and he was blown away! It was delicious and it presented beautifully. Jared was a good server and the place was hopping so he never stopped running to and fro. We also had dessert. I had the chocolate mousse with an espresso on the side (divine) and hubby had the coca cola cake and he was in love with it. 😅

Fabulous location for my parents' anniversary party! I've been going there for almost forty years and it never disappoints. The staff is top notch, friendly, and very attentive.

Everything was amazing. The atmosphere was great, customer service perfect, and food delicious beyond belief. We had crab cakes as an appetizer. For our entrees we had seared duck breast, chilean sea bass, and caesar salads. We drank an old fashioned and a french 75. We also ordered a lemon creme cake and a butter rum bundt cake that we took to go. Everything tasted so good, but our favorites are the crab cakes and the duck.

5 Star across the board!
Legends, a staple of Norman OK, was everything we were expecting it to be. The layout is inviting and cozy, subdued lighting that let's you feel seperated from the other patrons, but still clearly see your table and food without being blindingly bright. Add the great live piano music to the backdrop, and it's perfect!
From entry to exit, the staff at Legends is par excellance! The hostess greeted us with a smile and great attitude, and we were seated at our table in 2 minutes. Our server (I believe his name was Jared, and he deserves a special shout out of his own!) was what every server should be. Attentive, kind and upbeat without being fake and chatty. We never had to repeat any request, our finished plates were cleared immediately, but never in a manner that led us to feel rushed. The check came and was returned in a timely manner, and our server and hostess thanked us and wished us a good night on the way out.
Food...... Appetizer of fried mushrooms, my wife had the Medalion chicken, and I had the Medalion beef and we both shared a dessert of their layer lemon cake. Every single plate was cleared to the last morsel. The food is A-MA-ZING!
Our thanks to Legends for making our anniversary dinner as special to us as the reason we were there. Can't recommend this place enough!

Wonderful dinner in an eclectic restaurant. The Lamb Chops were very good. Warm, pink center with a mint chimichurri sauce. Oh, so yummy! And the desserts! Many wonderful choices. Got the Cola Cake! So moist and fudgy!

Update 9/28. Had the Beef Medallions! Again, wonderful meal! The beef was juicy and tender, with wonderful whipped potatoes & green beans!! Y

8/22/2019 Another great meal!! First time trying Ahi Tuna. It was delicious!

Everything was amazing! The drinks took a little time but worth the wait. Everything had so much flavor and the live piano just set the mood. Definitely plan on returning.

Something for everyone on their menus, and don't forget dessert.

This was the duck breast in port sauce and I ate every bite.

Never been here before. I will say this is a great place with great food. I had the chicken crepes with hollandaise sauce and baked apple. I was totally blown away with the flavors. The hollandaise had that perfect hint of lemon in it. I would definitely go back to Legends when in Norman again!!

It was wonderful! We went on Feb 13th. The crab cakes were amazing, the duck was melt in your mouth perfect, and the chocolate dessert was the best I've ever had! The service was amazing as well!

Best place to have dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening, if you adore dining while a talented pianist makes beautiful music, and might even be persuaded to play your request!
Atmosphere is lovely, classic, and comfortable, staff are friendly and professional. The food is always spectacular paired with an extensive wine selection, full bar, and amazing home-made desserts; I tend to order mine for to-go after the luxurious wining and dining!
Reservations are probably encouraged for the weekend.

Love the food here every time I visit. Always tastes fresh and the service is great. The atmosphere is very familiar and the staff takes great care of their guests. Brooklyn J was the best server I have had in a while and went out of her way to make it feel like a special occasion. I appreciated the extra care for detail and awesome experience. Definitely a place worthy of family occasions.

Love legends! Service and food are always impeccable. This restaurant is always at the top of my recommendations list.

Great EVERYTHING. Like stepping back in time to a romantic, delicious supper club. Recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes with Steak Bites, the Bleu Cheese Wedge, the Cherry Cobbler ala mode. Great piano, service, surroundings.

We had not been here for a couple of years (bad experience at holiday meal), but we're are impressed with all aspects.

The food was amazing! The service was incredible! The atmosphere was semi-formal but very comfortable. I had the Mediterranean Chicken and it was so pretty and tasted better than it looked! I will definitely be back!

ReLlt good food. Friendly, timely service. Very friendly for people with food allergies. Loved the piano player.
