This place is amazing! Great food, price, and service. I had the chicken chimichanga and my husband had the 1/2 pound burrito. The queso and chips are so good! We will be back.

They have the best, most authentic Mexican food. This is the #3 chile relleno and chicken enchilada combo plate. It’s not spicy at all and is very filling. Their chalupas are amazing too.

We ordered to go over the phone. I was impressed by the presentation in the box! The food is fresh. I liked that the barbacoa tacos came with lime and jalapeño. I also liked the green jalapeño sauce. If you want really good street tacos, come here. Delicious horchata; they do a really good job. Friendly service. Don’t underestimate this hole in the wall.

Listen. Even the french fries are better than the burger joints nearby. I usually get a combination of the chicken, beef and pastor tacos (WOW) but I’ve also had the chimichanga, quesadilla and tamales—all amazing. There are chain restaurants that charge twice as much for queso/guacamole not even half as good as Volcano’s. I’m so glad there’s finally a restaurant like this in the area.

I’m editing this review because I moved out of Norman exactly a year ago. I drove here from Del City because very few places in Oklahoma sell pambazos, and I was so happy to come back to Volcano’s, it still holds up. Of all the Mexican restaurants in town, this one has to have the best AUTHENTIC food I’ve ever had. I think the hardest part of moving was not being 5 minutes away anymore. Seriously do yourself a favor and try something new. Whatever it is they’ll make it delicious.

I used to enjoy the owners’ excellent cooking when they just owned a taco truck, and were located at the Goldsby gas station during the day. They did so well that they opened a restaurant in Norman and you will not be disappointed. The food is affordable, excellent, and the service is quick.

Now I will dare say that they serve the best birria tacos in Oklahoma! If you have to try one meal, try their “quesabirria” meal. Incredible!

Small, surprisingly good Mexican restaurant. Is all do it yourself, but the food is excellent!

The food is amazing! It’s the Mexican food that Norman has been missing. Eat here! The carnitas taco plate or the barbacoa burrito are worth having again!

Not sure what the few bad reviews are on about. Maybe this place has some inconsistency? But the burrito I just had was big and tasty. Had other items too that weren’t even listed on the menu but they had it without a stutter.

I’m a bit picky. Asada was GOOD with good consistency. Not too chewy, not too soft. Perfect. And the rice was AMAZING. Beans were great.

And the menu is HUMONGOUS which I think is nice. I love a place with variety.

I’m giving it a 4.5/5. Just because it’s not the best of the best, but maybe the best in Norman. Plus bonus points for having a drive thru.

There’s a reason why locals recommend this restaurant. I’d post a picture of the food but I was too busy eating it all until it was gone.

I got the Camarones Diablo. Very good. Just enough spice for me but not too much.

Food served quickly and hot. Worth checking out,
