We love this park! It is well-maintained. We always have a good time playing disc golf here. One of our discs caught up on a very spiky tall tree and we had hard time getting our disc back. One person even injured by the spiky branch of the tree

We like coming here for the disc golf course. Nice little course that isn't too crowded. Will be even better when there's a playground here!

We've also tubed. Put in at the dock that's by the lower parking lot and hopped out after the other dock closet to the baseball field along the trail. VERY short but it's fun/ doesn't require two cars. Maybe 10 minutes from start to finish and a 0.2 mile walk back to the start. We did this about 5 times and had a blast. There are no plugs by any of the fields fyi for when you need to blow up your tube.

Great park in the Powdersville area. Occasionally it can be crowded during a baseball game and cause issues throwing hole one of the disc golf course. If you are looking for a slight challenge this course definitely will make you use each throw you know to bend through the woods. Eighteens island hole is definitely a fun way to end the course.

Currently being renovated (Summer 2022), Dolly Cooper Park has much to offer. Key features include a soccer field, baseball diamond, disc golf course, and access point to the Saluda River.

Up on the hill past the soccer pitch you'll find a great view. This plot may eventually turn into another set of soccer pitches, but is currently fallow field. Just beyond the field is a walking trail / disc golf course with more great views and periodic benches.

Arguably the best feature of the park is the water access to the Saluda River. I wouldn't recommending swimming at this point, but it's an excellent spot for kayaking and tubing. Don't be misled by construction, the access road to the water is open. See aerial shots for details.

Just around the corner from the park entrance, there is walking access to the historic Saluda Bridge (access from both sides, see photos). Access is gated, but I have not been able to determine when the gates are locked, if ever.

This park has been a work in progress for almost 20 years, and is the first park in Powdersville to my knowledge. A very ambitious project, but slowly nearing completion. Many parts of the park feel unfinished. The entrance feels a bit strange, prompting myself among others to think they had made a wrong turn! The recycling center is part of the reason for that, I'm sure.

Had a great time nice boat launch and we went to piedmont. Now that's where it needs work. Not much of a parking area down in a hole in woods. If there were a better place to take out it's a great day trip.

Love the hiking trails and such easy access to the river . The best wading/swimming spot on the Saluda River is right off of one the hiking trails here, it's super clean and never really crowded. Watch out for broken glass if you plan on getting your feet wet though! There seemed to be quiet a few pieces in the shallows on my last visit.

Had a great time at the Rhythm on the River festival, May 7th, 2022. Large crowd, good food, and good music.

We really enjoyed our walk here today with our pup. Great choice of sidewalk or dirt trail. A couple of boat drop ins that are easily accessible. The disc golf looked like a solid course and fun!

Finally improved the park! Still work to be done for sure but good move forward for Powdersville League of Athletic Youth. Disc golf course is nice with 18 holes. Still need about 15 tweet box’s but there is markers and it’s pretty simple to figure out where you need to go!

Our first time there we played all 18 but walked 27 because we couldn't find the back nine at first so we got our steps in that day and it was a blast we will definitely be back

Great little kayak trip! Started at the park and ended about 4 hours down stream. Just one set of rapids that gave us a thrill.

It was so nice they have a kayak ramp where you can put you kayak to get on it also is for handicap ♿ people. Just that fact to me made it even better. The river is nice and calming I seen most people tubing. Coming back up the river was very challenging though. Might be cause I'm not exsactly fit lol but anyways I will be going back.!

Took my six month-old grandson for the first time and brought his swing, which is a bigger swing for a six-month-old to sit up in and he absolutely loved it and it's also one of my favorite places to visit as well and just go relax my mind and it's very peaceful! The water and scenery is just so beautiful, plus you have a few different trails to go walking down and check everything out!Great place to take your dogs or kids to play or for a walk...

The disc golf course here is amazing. Definitely recommend. You are in wide open areas for the most part and not in fear of losing a disc. Definitely recommend for sic golf lovers!

My Great Dane loved this park. It's nice to be able to sit by the water and chill. Plenty of stuff for a doggy to sniff. Miss that dog.

Bring your own tubes or what have you and enjoy ~15~ minutes of free tubing on the river! YAY! It's a 6 or 7 minute walk back from one dock to the other depending on whether you take the forest trail at river's edge or the paved trail.
