The most amazing carne tacos I have ever had! I’m not a sauce person, but their sauce is what made the taco. Flan was also the best I’ve ever had. It was creamy and so yummy.

Service was acceptable.

Best Mexican food and margaritas in Granbury Texas. This restaurant is so awesome and if you have a special request they’re more than happy to help the owner. Ordered 3 enchilada dinners to go... SMH horrible horrible horrible!!! 2 were beef with chili enchilada was so dry it crumbled and the chili well... burnt and gross! It was close to closing time by an hour but come on! I swear my dog didn't even want to eat it! I was so disappointed and was really in shock to how bad it was that we couldn't even eat it! The chips and hot sauce were the only thing we could say tasted great! Never doing that again 🤦‍♀👎

Wow!!! I haven’t eaten at an El Chico in many many years. They all closed down in the greater Dallas area. When I saw this one I figured, why not?? Boy was that a great choice!!! The service was quick and fantastic! The food? HOLY MOLEY!!!!! Waaaay better than I could’ve imagined. My wife, who is from Canada, was blown away!! What an experience!!!!

Very nice Mexican restaurant. Friendly staff, we did not wait long for someone to take our order. The food we ordered was outstanding.

El Chico is my fams forever home for Tex-mex here in Granbury. Consistently stealing my heart. Always treated like family. Food always bussin’! Especially that burrito bowl tho! Attached a pic.

Such a pretty restaurant. All the coloured flags and little lights, always great staff, even when they're busy they don't over look anything. The food is great, there's a 3 course deal for $25. Sharing an appetizer and dessert. Really good food and super value!!

Dropped by for lunch today. Was immediately greeted and seated. Very friendly server. Food was at the table fast and it was excellent. The price was good too. Great job.

Reliable good food. Vegan option is the avocado enchiladas without sour cream and cheese, side of black beans.

Always great food, except we did order top shelf queso and it was supposed to come with Pico and I even read it to the waitress, she brought us regular queso and when I asked why she said they always do that because some people don't read the menu, I was like ok well I did and I said that's what i.would like, she brought Pico but it kinda ruined my time there, maybe next time will be better

Really great food. Been meaning to try it out after we moved close. So glad we finally did! Service and meal were both worth stopping in for. We will be back.

The server was excellent. She was friendly and helpful. She didn't make us feel rushed at all. The food was good too. I had a taco salad. It was very good 👍.

Another individuals out there that make their own Mexican food and it's pretty excellent. But if you were unfortunate to know one of these people or be one then this is a really excellent place to go if you enjoy Mexican food. I highly recommend the tamale plate I think that's my all-time favorite and they do it really well. Another thing they do really well is the chile relleno which I also get a la carte. Love love love this place give it a visit!

Edited to add: I was back last week and there was a sign on the door asking for patience for their short staffing issue. There was one waitress and two or three food runners working the non bar side. She had 4 tables when I came is and 7 when I left. I never had to ask for anything other than place my order, my glass was kept full, my food was hot and I got the best service I have had since all the restaurants have been hit with staffing issues. Thank you El Chico for always trying to take care of your customers.. Original review was 4 stars from two weeks before: I always love the food and the staff is almost always top notch. My waitress on the other hand seemed to be pretty impatient when I was adding to her ticket. I asked for dessert and then needed to add a to go order, when I asked for the menu for the to go order she acted like I made her mad. She brought it and was gone for 10 minutes, by the time she came back it was too late to place a to go order. So she got tipped accordingly. I almost always tip 20% for good service on the whole ticket, $25 for excellent service. So she got the standard tip of 15% on the food portion of the ticket only not the tax too. I will not leave less than 10% unless the service is horrible and it is all on the waitress. I know waitstaff has to pay tax on each ticket they write and I would never dock a waitress for a problem in the kitchen or front of house.

I love coming to this restaurantin the evenings. Cara is always who I sit with and service and food is always on point!!

Angie is absolutely amazing! She was so nice and really on top of her game. She made sure we had everything we needed and never went without a refill or anything. She had a full section all by herself and she was amazing! Will definitely be returning just for her great service.

Shena is the best server I've ever had the whole experience was amazing and the service was even better 10/10! Definitely will be returning!

Stopped by here on the way home from DPS Tolar. Sure glad we did! Delicious lunch and nice restaurant. Wonderful service too. Hate that El Chico and El Fenix are closed down in Dallas or hard to find.
