The mechanic was a friendly guy. Service was quick and did not go over from the estimate.

Please take the time to read the letter I sent to the owner:

I am extremely frustrated and angry with your dealership and particularly Scott. My husband, Steve Hulsey, has been speaking with Scott for almost a week about the Volkswagen convertible (dark grey) on your lot. He had asked TIME AND TIME again about the condition of the car. We were aware of the price, and were excited about getting the car. HOWEVER, after spending several hours in the car, driving all the way from another state, we came to your lot to find that the car was in NO WAY representative of the description given to us by Scott. As a matter of fact, we were in Greenville (and on your lot TWICE) and Scott NEVER EVEN STOOD UP from his desk to speak to us. Even after we had driven the car and came in the office to ask him questions. He didn't even rise to shake the hand of my husband.

Not only was this treatment extremely rude but the car was in terrible shape, nothing like what Scott had lead us to believe. Steve had asked him time and time again about the appearance, the functioning and the overall working condition of the car. Specifically asking what was wrong with the car, we were told nothing. Until after financing was SET UP yesterday, and Scott told us that he "forgot to tell that the electric convertible top DIDN'T WORK". Unbelievable. This is a list of things that were mechanically wrong with the car (that he said "I forgot to mention that...")

Nothing was mentioned at all about the fact the:
1) the drivers side window would not roll down
2) the drivers side mirror would not work
3) the passengers side mirror would not work
4) the ALARM continued to beep, alerting us that the TOP was not secured! (and can't be secured because it doesn't work)
5) the passengers side electric window controller is broken
6) the glove box has been BROKEN INTO and doesn't close, nor does it even have a latch on it.

And on top of that a top that doesn't work? And he "forgot" to mention it in over a week of speaking? until the financing was set and the trip was scheduled???? Sad excuse for customer service.

There may be more...I just lost track. I guess I'm the most appalled at the treatment we received from Scott at your dealership. NO customer service whatsoever. He KNEW we had driven HOURS to get to you. He had worked for DAYS on financing, etc. for my husband. And he treated us poorly when we were there.

He actually had the audacity to say "I'm sorry it isn't what you wanted." as we walked out the door. EXCUSE ME??? We WANTED what he had lead us to believe you had. We WANTED a car in safe condition. By his omissions, he lied to us.

And couldn't even be bothered to stand to greet my husband.

You should be ashamed.
