Beautiful views from the top of the park. The new staircase that connects to Lake Michigan has some of the best views I’ve seen in a long time. If you’re looking to get out of the house or need a distraction, this is the place.

Nice park for a quick hike/walk through the woods. You can even access the lake beach in the summer. They installed stairs that take you all the way down to the beach.

A brisk but beautiful afternoon at Virmond Park. Come see the new staircase that takes visitors all the way down to the rocky beach. Bring your kids or your puppy (on a leash) to enjoy this awesome park located in Ozaukee County but only a 1/2 mile from Milwaukee County line.

This place and this view has become one of our final places we all spent together as a whole FAMILY. sad to say but the view is most relaxed when very few people is actually there but in all the trails are short simple and right besides the cliff edge, so the view if the beautiful is still within view.

Visited the new stairs and went down to the water. Very nice to have safe access to the water. The bottom section is open metal stairs that have a larger step at the top and bottom so definitely use the railing if you are uneasy with that.

Very nice park with recently added (within the last couple of years) stairs (227 of them) down to the lake.

Great park for a walk. You are able to take the stairs down to the lake but the day I was there the water was too rough and had white caps.
Will definitely return here again.

Lovely view of the lake. 270 steps down to lake but you can see the lake and hear the waves. I could watch the changing colors forever.

***UPDATE*** The stairs down to Lake Michigan are finally completed and are open and OMG...its a nice climb down, but coming back up can kick your butt! Not much room down at the bottom so not many people go all the way down, but the climb is not for the faint of heart! I love this park. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan (Great photo ops), nice short hiking trails that are dog friendly, kiddie area in great condition, and a pavilion with picnic tables.

Great views! Peaceful! The weather was fantastic and plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy both the weather and views. Plenty of open space as well if you wanted to toss a ball or something around. There was also a playground on the premises as well.

Cute park! Lots of bunnies and cardinals. There’s new stairs down to the lake. The beach didn’t have flies when we went in August and the water was warm!

Beautiful, well maintained lakeshore park. Great views, trails, and picnic areas. Fantastic place to paint. Like any public park in any city, don't leave valuables in your car in plain view. Car next to mine was broken into for a purse. Still a safe, family-friendly park I will definitely return to.

My son and I were visiting for volleyball tournament and decided to stop by. The park was small but it did have tennis courts, playground, picnic tables and they are in the process of completing a stairway that will lead down to the lake. Once that stairway is completed it will be a great park.

This is a recreational area in addition to being a beautiful overlook of Lake Michigan. There are fun trails and breathtaking views, and plenty of parking. It’s a spectacular place, worth the trip!
