I spoke with Mark on the phone and was surprised he took my call not ever having done business with him. He had written an article on the deductions under form I-335 for South Carolina tax payers and I had a few questions. I did not agree with my current tax preparers reason on not being able to use the above mentioned form and deduction. Mark was articulate, and gave answers backed up with experience and gave the reasons behind his answers rather than just a yes or no. While he admitted I had some valid points he indicated it was not something he recommend I do and that this area could use clarification. Mark Xu understands both taxes and business strategy and how they fit together like no one I have ever known. I needed to hire an outside accountant to verify my returns a few years back and hired Xu CPA to do the work. My undergrad was in finance and I have always done better doing my own returns.
