Greenville Army & Navy Store

First time I've had a chance to visit the army navy store since they moved from downtown. Now, I do appreciate the history of the old location, I like this one much better! Plenty of parking is one huge bonus.
The inventory is organized and looks to be quality. Exactly the things you'd expect to find in an army navy store.
I was just browsing today, but saw a few things I'll be returning to purchase.

So happy to find a nearby store that have the things I need. I didn’t check out the entire store but I will definitely be returning.

I brought my 10-year-old son in here because he's a world war II fanatic and we found this great helmet, perfect Christmas gift! Really unique store, great items available for purchase!

My buddies and I have been going here since we were in high school 22 years ago. Very nice people and always attentive and offer to help in any way they can. My son now likes to go so the store has been incorporated into the traditions of my family. Jeff and the guys are the best.

Cool and useful military stuff for decent prices.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it still is just as good, if not better, now. Its a rare opportunity for someone to take their son into a local icon that they also visited as a child. The family are some of the nicest, personable people in all of downtown. So many great things here you can never buy or even see anywhere else. Now at a new location on Laurens Rd but still the same great family and group of guys, still with all the really neat things we have all come to love from the Greenville Army Store.

A plethora of classic & cutting edge military (some non military) items

Let me first say that I went into the store out of curiosity. My dad used to go to these stores to find belts, those roll kind you add a buckle to, and boxes (he loved his military boxes!) So, as a person just looking, it was fantastic! The gentlemen in the front were nice and helpful. I even found a backpack for my travels! Also, thanks to all of you reading this review who served our country!

They've since moved from their downtown location so some of the photos here might be a bit out of date, but rest assured its the same great store with fantastic staff and merchandise! They have a great selection on clothing, surplus, and other items, and even if they don't have the exact item you want, they can definitely point you to other local places to get things, or get them themselves.
I needed a military sleep system for camping which are notoriously hard to get, and within 1-2 weeks Greenville Army and Navy had reserved me a fantastic quality, updated MSS for a incredibly reasonable price, beating any listing I found online. The personnel are always friendly and great people, so I highly recommend you check this store out if you get the chance!

Love this place. Always make time to stop when we're in town. A great selection of stuff a good prices. This is one of those places you find stuff you didn't know you needed. Very informed staff. Stop in sometime.

They had all the goodies I was looking for, uniform, poncho, and a great backpack.

This place is legit! Tons of unique stuff and has everything you could want or need. Kevin is extremely cool and knowledgable. Stoked about the dog tags we got for the family.

Great group of guys and a selection of new and old surplus for all of your needs.
Never didn't have what I have needed, and they will go out of their way to get or find what you are looking for. Been shopping here for years, and will not frequent another shop, based on service alone.

Jeff and Kevin are so kind and helpful. Jeff inherited this business from his father, Harry who opened it in 1947. It's the oldest family run business downtown and has military surplus, camping gear and foam rubber cut-to-size among the products available. There is also a sort of service and military helmet museum/collection worth stopping in to see.

Best place for custom cut foam rubber for cushions, boat seats, furniture, etc. Good selection of military surplus clothing. Inventory varies based on availability. Also pocket knives for camping or hunting. Nice people.

Iconic. One of the first real retailers downtown. Still one of the best. My wife has a lot of retailers on Main to visit. I have 3. This is my favorite.

Great place. Good prices on quality goods too. Can't miss shopping here.

I'm a former Marine and boy did they place take me back to the glory days. Nice selection, staff was super helpful. Decently priced military gear.
