These people know how to do church! Always greeted warmly w/o being pushy. Genuinely open

I’ve visited for family Christmas Eve with three generations. The messages and music were meaningful. Our two-year-old granddaughter has just started preschool there and it is a lovely and loving environment. They are active supporters if GOAL, a grass-roots organization for social justice.

We shopped their annual yard sale. It was well run and the prices were appropriate. This was a fundraiser for one of the charities they serve.

We’ve received love and had chances to give love. Thankful for a church where all are actually welcome, valued, respected, and affirmed.

I've been at First Baptist for about 25 years. No better place to grow your faith in Jesus Christ with a community of welcoming and inclusive believers. Both of my kids went through FBG Day School and the children's and youth ministry programs. Wonderful all around!

I have been attending this church since October of 2014. From day 1 I have been welcomed with open arms and kindness. I feel I have sense of community and belonging than any church I have attended. This church has brought me closer to God and strengthened my daily walk with him. I am truly grateful to find this church and feel like I am finally home.

I've been attending this church for a couple of months and it has been amazing. There are so many kind and sweet people here. I first heard about this church at Upstate pride about a year ago but I finally gave it a try a few months ago. Here, being in the LGBTQ+ community, you're not just tolerated, you are celebrated and it is like you family here. If you are considering coming here, do it and I'm sure you will enjoy the sermon.

First baptist is a very inviting, loving, environment for all people- gay, straight, black or white. They are genuinely glad to have you there and the services are wonderful from the music to the preaching. It's the only baptist church that I have truly felt a genuine sense of love and concern for ALL people. They present the gospel they way Jesus intended! I love First baptist!

Great church! All are welcome. They have community oriented programs for community development. They have programs to help with repairs on your home. They help me with mine.....truly forever greatful. They have a beautiful rainforest garden, where I love volunteering to work. The church is very large and spacious. There is a nursery and elementary school also inside the church. We are blessed to hear the church bells every day at noon.

I visited First Baptist for the first time about a year ago. I was greeted by two staff members, as well as the door greeter - who handed me the service bulletin. I have been visiting the church for just over a year now, and have been followed up with on monthly occurrences by one of the staff members. It has been the most pleasant experiences in a church as a new-comer/visitor I have had in years.

You're welcome here no suit or Jean's, gay or straight, no matter what your ethnicity,... warm. Welcoming family here. And you'll always leave with a smile on your face and a warm heart after the service! Pastor Jim Dant is so Awesome!!! You owe it to yourself to visit, especially if you have stopped going to church for any reason. You will feel at home at FBG!!!

A wonderful church family! It has been a gift to be a part of a congregation that is a welcoming fellowship, striving to be the presence of Christ in the community. Thank you for being an example of love and justice in the Upstate!

What a breath of fresh air in the midst of so much judgement and hate. Thank you for not only talking about being loving, serving the least of these but also putting it in action. Grateful we got to visit. There is everything about this church that to me speaks of who Jesus is and what he stood for... thank you. We do no live in Greenville, but if we did we would be honored to be part of your work and mission.

First Baptist Church, Greenville, SC is a wonderful and caring church family. They are loving and accepting and very real. Traditional music with one of the world's great organist, great choir, and challenging preaching to live Christ in the world.

We attended a funeral at the church. It was a true worshipful experience praising the life of our friend "Jennie". The organist was outstanding as was the organ. It was an impressive worshipful experience!

Jim Dant is a wise and faithful leader. I hope more of our churches follow suit and stop hurting people in order to uphold their own diluted ideas of God and faith. Wouldn't it be more productive to walk along side one another rather than tearing one another down?

After looking at various churches, I found myself returning to First Baptist. (I was a member in the 80s.) I then lived away from the south for some time. I am a lifelong Baptist, and found FBC is true to Baptist traditions. For example, each member has the freedom to interpret the Bible under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. There is no creed, and there is therefore a diversity of opinions which are lovingly exchanged. What's sad is that many "Baptist" churches have abandoned the traditional freedom of Baptists in favor of lists of things one must believe. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. But if you seek a church that is welcoming and not creedal, try First Baptist.

If you want to find true Biblical teaching then you should watch them livestream. Do not listen to the negative reviews on here. They are from ignorant people. They are from people that want to deny the Truth. These fake reviews are from fake profiles.
