Homemade tortillas, excellent chips and salsa, honest to goodness tortas. We eat at Mexican restaurants weekly and come from El Paso so we know what decent border food should taste like. Give them a try if you want good food.

Some of the most authentic Mexican I’ve had in Texas. Their service is very attentive and personable. Atmosphere is welcoming and jovial. Highly recommend a bite here.

The service is great, and the food never disappoints. The thing I love the most, however, is the watermelon margarita! It’s a super unique drink. I get it every time I go!

Best enchiladas in Lockhart! I always get one beef and one cheese and I ask for an overeasy fried egg on top. While the egg is purely optional, I must say it's wonderful! Enchiladas are served with beans, rice, salad, and delicious homemade flour tortillas. Take it from someone who knows. I eat here all the time!

Getting better everyday and every way! When these guys first opened up about 18 years ago it was a ho-hum kind of restaurant. My friends liked it but I never really enjoyed it I thought it wasn't up to par in any way. But I've got to tell you they have made some real changes over the years. When the young family members started running the restaurant it's amazing the dedication that they had. And you can see it the remodel made a big difference The atmosphere has gotten better It's still a little bit loud when it's full and I don't know how to remedy that it's just always busy with a lot of people because the food is good the service is good and it's getting better all the time. I look forward to seeing them open another place soon

This place is my favorite spot for breakfast tacos anytime of day! If you haven’t tried the Carne Guisada or Barbacoa, you’re definitely missing out! The Horchata is also great and the homemade flour tortillas are delicious!! For my hot sauce lovers, both the red and green salsa (chilé) is phenomenal! I personally prefer the green! Staff is always welcoming. Depending on the time of day you go, it can be packed. Parking can also vary during peak hours too but there’s ample spots around the downtown area where this gem is located. The last couple of times I’ve tried to place a to-go order, there’s been a mixup of with the phone lines. Not too big a deal, since the to-go orders don’t take long. Keep in mind I’m usually there for tacos so if you order plates, might be a smidge of a time difference. I’ve also had the menudo and its just as good. You will not regret stopping here, no matter what time of day!

I love this place!! The workers here are friendly and inviting. Feels like dinner at home. My absolute favorite here are the enchiladas. The inside of the restaurant is also beautifully decorated.

We found this hidden gem about a month ago. We called and placed an order for take out the first time we tried the food and it did not disappoint. We got a variety of breakfast plates and alot of different tacos. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming when we went to go pick up the order. We have gone here several times after that and will continue to go here. The restaurant vibe is great. Definitely recommend.

My husband loves the antique shop right by La Cantera so tradition is we visit before antique shopping for breakfast. My in laws joined us this last visit. We each got a different dish and they were all amazing. Our waitress was great too.

Been living here for Decades and just last Sunday we tried this spot! Now I’m mad I didn’t try it before! The food is amazing! The service was fast and our waitress was super friendly! We are for sure going to be regulars here, can’t wait to go again! By far has to be the best Mexican restaurant here in Lockhart :)
