La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Clute Lake Jackson

I stayed for like 3 days and two nights and it was really nice. I didn't see any bugs, I didn't see signs of bed bugs, and the bed was huge. Everything was really nice. The fridge worked. The only thing that didn't work was the TV and I don't watch it much so it didn't bother me. They had free Wi-Fi and breakfast available (breakfast was lackluster so I didn't partake). But the Wi-Fi was excellent. Really fast speeds.

The room also smelled like cigarettes but I bought a candle and it was all good. Shower curtain was old and I believe it had some black mold on it. But I don't typically spend all that much time in the restroom so... besides I needed a room so I could stay out of the cold. It was on thr nights or days when it was freezing. I at the time didn't have anywhere else to go. I was in-between living situations. So honestly I was just grateful for hot water, heat, and a place to eat.

My wife and I recently worked a contract job in Surfside and unfortunately some plans had to change, lodging being one of them. This caused us to have to scramble to try and find new accommodations, mind you it was a few minutes past 3:00 in the morning. Needless to say, there weren't too many options to pick from at that hour. Thankfully, we were able to find this location and with fingers crossed we proceeded to try our luck. Upon entering the lobby we were greeted by the overnight clerk on duty (Ms. Emily). She went above and beyond to provide stellar customer service to my wife and I. Her overall demeanor and approach to our situation was impeccable and really made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and helped to dissipate the stress my wife and I were under. Even though we only stayed over night we were very pleased with the service we received and the room wasn't that bad either. That being said, outstanding job to Ms. Emily. You'll be the main reason I'll consider and recommend this establishment in the future. Thank you again.

The room/property could definitely use a bit of an upgrade as it regards to the overall aesthetics. However, I will take the age of the property into consideration. All in all it's a decent location.

Staff was great!

I stay here about once a month when I come into town. The beds are so comfortable. We had an issue with being charged twice but Mrs Tee went above and beyond to get it fixed for us, plus some. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay.

As hotels go and for the price I paid &395.50 for 7 days, kitchen, king bed, desk,ect.
They have a small but well maintained pool
Breakfast could be better but for what I’m paying well worth it.
Friendly staff, rooms are clean and In a safe environment, not to mention a washer and dryer on the property $2.00 is a good deal for getting caught up on laundry.
If you see yourself needing a place to stay for a week or longer, you really can’t go wrong.
All in all a very good deal!!!

Great customer service. I only needed a room while I travel for work so purely just to rest and shower up, but I’m glad I chose La Quinta. Quick to service me at the front desk, warm and inviting and really let me feel like I could ask for anything I needed. Rooms with a king bed don’t feel too small, just right, and I really like that my car is right outside of my door. The sheets could be a little thicker, but really didn’t have any issues being cold throughout the night. Cozy with everything I need! Plus - free breakfast in the mornings.

This is a nice, modest hotel! I have stayed here several times on beach vacations. The breakfast is simple yet nice! The rooms are very clean and they offer no smoking rooms. The bathroom is small but well cleaned. The shower water pressure was a bit low and could use a bit of updating. The bed was also clean and comfortable. I think this hotel is great for budget travelers, too. I will continue coming back and will recommend to anybody looking for a budget hotel.

We stayed last night. We came down for the 24 hours of lemons racing. My husband told me to get this hotel because that is where the other teammates were staying. I did not want to stay there because MOST of the reviews talked about roaches everywhere.

THIS WAS NOT TRUE. This place was completely clean, the bed was clean and comfortable, it was a great price. Not a single roach in site. Believe me I was looking for them and never saw one. We left early before we could get breakfast but it seemed to be a nice breakfast as well.

MUCH BETTER than expected. To be honest I was really nervous about staying there but it was completely different and way better than all the bad reviews made it out to see. If we are ever down this way we will stay in this hotel again.

After being on the road for 11 days it was nice to have a management at a hotel that was friendly and welcoming do not listen to the other reviews they are working on fixing up the place it's under New Management. Is it a good location has a lot of restaurants. If you're tired like I was you don't even hear the traffic I checked out two rooms and they were both clean and nice looking

Everyone that we have come in contact with has been absolutely amazing (staff and guests). Very caring, sweet and accommodating. Our one night trip turned into 5 nights and 6 days because everyone has been so great. We will definitely come back.

It was a good stay. The only problem I had was the vent in my bathroom was hanging down but only had like 2 bugs show up. Other than that my stay was amazing. La Quinta will always be my top favorite hotel to stay at. I definitely recommend it.

It was really a good stay. The price was generous, and we didn't have to pay a deposit for our puppies. I will definitely stay here again when I come back.

I have no complaints everything's been amazing one of the best hotel stays I've had in the last two years that I've been traveling for work

After a long fishing trip did not want to drive back to Houston so we took our chance with the la quinta... And thank goodness we did. The front desk agent and I believe her name is Kelsey, greeted us with a smile and was very knowledgeable about the hotel and being a wonderful front desk agent. Me and my best friend go fishing every weekend in Surfside and because of her service the la Quinta in clute will be our number one choice of hotel whenever we come down

Short stay but sweet. So close to the beach . Easy check in comfy beds. Everything was great

I'm staying here right now. super clean, everything is new. bed is huge. housekeeping daily. good location. it's weekly rate is $416, and it's worth every penny. good deal.

Very clean and nice staff! Had an issue with the key reader but it was fixed in minutes. Good military discount and no fee for a service dog. We will definitely be back!
