Peking Restaurant

I have been in central Wisconsin for 25 years and I can’t believe nobody ever told me about this restaurant. It’s fantastic. It’s classy looking, very relaxing, the food was great. My wife ordered egg foo yong and I thought why did she order three soggy patties like you usually get in a Chinese restaurant? It was nothing like that. They were very tasty pies.

Usually Crab Rangoon is greasy fried dough with a little filling in it. This Crab Rangoon was delicious. The appetizers were all lightly breaded, and no greasy taste to the fried food. The waitress recommended I try the garlic ginger chicken, and it was delicious.

I will be back as much as possible. I love this restaurant.

My son and I had the pleasure of dining here last night and my goodness, I have never seen portions this large at any restaurant in my life. The food was excellent. Service was excellent. The atmosphere of this enchanting restaurant all decorated for Christmas was stunning. The Landmark building established in 1926, I believe, is evidenced everywhere. To my delight, the marble stairway entering the Peking Restaurant was heartwarming to see. I highly recommend this beautiful establishment. We had a customized pork fried rice due to dietary restrictions. It was perfect. Our main entrees were Shrimp and Snow Peas and a Beef with steamed rice dinner, also perfect. We had to take boxes of food home because they give you so much food.

Tonight our dinner at home plan didn't work out, as a last minute idea we got take out for our 3 hungry kids, and my wife and I from Peking. everything came out quickly and cooked to perfection. Mitch and his team always do a good job for us. Thank you very much!

We were here for a wedding. The food was amazing, the service was top notch, and the owner is a great friendly guy. We can’t wait to come back to the area and visit for dinner sometime soon

Restaurant was beautifully decorated for the Holidays. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was delivered to the table very quickly and was hot and fresh. We had a wonderful family dinner and received A+ food and service. One of our favorite local restaurants.

Our book club meets here fairly often, and it's always a wonderful experience.

Best Chinese restaurant in Wausau!! Amazing every time!

Never been here ever after 28 years in Wausau. Wausau has few gems and this one is an Infinity Gem among them.

This place is a must have bucket list level event. The atmosphere is divine. A museum of beautiful antiquity and high society. Stimulating the artist within. I went in underdressed and never once treated badly for it. The rest of the patrons were top notch. Civil, non judgemental, and very friendly. Good people.

My server, Scott, is a man of many talents. More entertainer, part therapist, and excellent server. Scott made our night from greeting till final bill. The service alone makes this place.

The food was 5 star... a ten star review is not enough. The ingredients fresh, perfectly cooked, and done with artist level flair. This place rivals my experiences in New York, Florida, and San Diego. It is a national level experience.

The Strawberry Chicken was the best... to the owners and staff. Yes... more please. Those rangoons were heaven. Next level. Worth every penny.

The Bar was another level of class... a must have.

First time here tonight and we were not disappointed, the wife had their steak medallions &shrimp very good and I had the shrimp and scallop Cantonese, excellent. We will be back! Also bartender and staff were also great!

My husband and I just spent our 20th anniversary here. Appetizers, meal and dessert along with the service were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make us feel special for our anniversary. Thanks again and we will definitely be back!

Awesome place to dine. But on our last expirence the food was still awesome but our waitress was a disorganized mess. Our entrees came out with at least 15 minutes between start to finish. And when we asked for out check and to have our leftovers boxed it took another 20 minutes.

Been going there for many years. Love it every time. The food is wonderful with each new item I've tried. The drinks are fresh and delicious. One of my all time favorite places for many reasons!

Down Town Wausau inside this beautiful nostalgic hotel, we experienced excellent gourmet Chinese food. There is an elegant area with a full bar which makes for wonderful waiting area with cocktails, while waiting on the rest of the party to arrive! It is a wonderful place to enjoy an amazing meal!

WOW. Intimate, great menu, Chef specials, Delicious entrees served on White Linen Tables in a Turn of The Century dining room with Great Atmosphere. ALL this and reasonably priced with service that is right on the Mark. I could say MORE, but You REALLY Need to check this out for Yourself.

This is a go-to place for special occasions for us. My wife loves asian food, but I hate restaurants with questionable cleanliness. That means this is about the only option in the area that we can agree on. (Sorry for the rude comment about the other asian restaurants in the northwoods). I always find the food here outstandingly good. It has the atmosphere of a somewhat formal, classy American restaurant. But it has spicy asian cuisine (the level of spicy heat can be chosen by the customer - mild is certainly available). The lack of visible asian-american employees might cause some to question the authenticity of the cuisine. I just consider the atmosphere to be top-notch and the food to be top-quality.
