Mi Familia Stephenville Restaurant

We went here during the rush on a Friday night after a soccer game and were thoroughly impressed with the service. The food was amazing. I loved that each of us got a salsa bowl instead of having to share. I got the tres amigos enchiladas and they were all three so good, but the chicken with sour cream sauce was amazing. I thought the atmosphere would be rowdy in a college town on a Friday evening, but even though it was crowded, it wasn’t rowdy. 100% recommend

Hubby and I stopped in on the way through to Fort Worth. We were hungry, so of course, chips and salsa while we looked over the menu is one of the reasons we stopped. The chips were warm, almost hot. So good.
My hubby had the Ala Mexicana, which is similar to fajitas, but the veggies consist of tomatoes, jalapeños, and onions. I had the chicken chili rellano with green sauce. Both entrees were very good. The rice was dry but delicious mixed with the green sauce from my chili rellano. The charro beans are delicious. It all was like comfort food.
The service was great. Just enough attention to know we were looked after, but not enough to be bothersome.
The atmosphere was too cute with the tikki style bar and the little "hut" type booths.

Hey guys once again I was so hungry I forgot the meal photos. Not sure if we were so hungry but the food was awesome. I had the Buritto with beans and rice. From the photo you know it was good. The wife had the Chicken Enchiladas with rice and charro beans. She too cleaned her plate. We will be visiting Stephenville more so we will be post more from there.

I had the Chile Relleno, it was good, but I had the grilled veggies and they were to die for!!!

Friendly service and some good Tex-Mex food. Had a great waitress who was attentive without being over bearing. All the food was nice and hot on arrival, including the tortillas. A good choice for lunch today while I was in town.

My waitress was super patient yesterday. I sat at the bar and had a couple margaritas and some salsa and queso. It was relaxing which was the goal for me yesterday.

The best enchiladas I've had in a long time......the service was a little lacking due to staffing issues but over all it was good. We came about 45 minutes before close on a Monday and they said we would have about a 10 minute wait, so we ask about bar seating & we were told we could sit at bar if we wanted so we did. The beef enchiladas were worth the wait in my opinion! Very decently priced $28 for 2!

Great food. We eat here every time we drive into Stephenville for a dentist appointment.

The service was great! We had a party of 7 and they were kind and our drinks were never empty! The cheese queso was perfect and the food was not too spicy. I would recommend going during off peek times due to how popular this place is.

Always busy and usually a wait for seat and food, but well worth the wait. The queso is an absolute go-to every time I go.

This was the first time I have been to this restaurant. We were immediately approached seated, and provided with drinks. Everyone was smiling.. with their voice (all were wearing masks), and our order was quickly taken. Our whole visit was well tended. Drinks were kept full, chips and salsa were refreshed, and the food was delicious. Our order arrived fresh, hot, and accurate. The restaurant was clean, as was the restrooms. The experience was a good one and I expect to return.

Great food, first time here and truly loved the family vibe, although they were busy, the waiter made sure to continually check in and see if we needed anything through the whole meal.. will definitely be returning

I thought this place was really good. Decent food and the price is hard to beat. Will eat here again.

This is one of the four restaurants in Stephenville that is actually fully wheelchair handicapped accessible.
Parking is available near the entrance and entry is easy. Very often other very kind customers or the waitstaff open the door for us!

We have been going to Mi Familia for about four years. The food and service are always excellent! We've never been disappointed. I often get the taco dinner or a burrito dinner. My husband likes the flautas. I usually bring half of my meal home to enjoy later. The chips served ahead of our meal have spicy paprika sprinkled generously on them. We often finish our excellent meals with a very creamy flan for dessert!

Drinks include the typical sodas, margaritas, and other alcoholic beverages. There is a separate bar in one of the dining rooms where you may also enjoy a meal or watching sports on TV while visiting with your friends.

The restroom is fully wheelchair handicapped accessible, although it works best to back into the stall in the women's restroom. It is just not quite big enough to close the door tightly for privacy. It's another place where neither the builder or the architect actually sat in a wheelchair and used the handicapped accessible stall. Good intentions, but not quite fully wheelchair handicapped accessible. The sinks and paper towels are accessible. My husband always must hold the door to the hallway because it is heavy.

We always enjoy our food and are returning satisfied customers!

Finally! A lunch menu with great choices in smaller portions! My bean and beef burrito was about 2/3 size of the dinner menu, and still generous enough to take half home for later! My husband's chicken taco salad was about half size to the dinner menu and sufficient for a full lunch menu including a cup of tortilla soup! An excellent lunch with perfect portions! The flan for dessert was delicious as usual. We are returning satisfied customers!

Mi Familia is ALWAYS amazing! I have ordered nearly everything off their menu and never once been disappointed! Highly recommend the cowboy queso to start, then dive into the menu yo find your favorites!!

After driving up and down the main street of the little town we were staying in, we decided we were dead dog tired and hungry and we were going to this particular place despite the reviews of having bad food and terrible service.

When we walked in, the restaurant was everything but what I imagined. Pleasantly surprised, it was a very nice place where we were kindly greeted by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was the best, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious for an unbelievably reasonable price; a steak dinner for $9.95 a person and I couldn’t finish mine. There was nothing not to like about the restaurant, at least from our point of view.

This is not the first time for us to read review that has failed miserably.
Sadly, reviews can make or break a business. People put so much stock in these reviews as if they’re facts and that is usually not true.
