Great food, drinks, and staff.

We (accidentally) showed up 10min to kitchen close. Guys behind the bar without hesitation said "Yeah! Order up!"

Friendliest guys, with attention to checking on us regularly.

Food was great. Couple others in our group got the walleye fillet and the perch fillet. Initially worried about the listed quantity (a single fillet) and price ratio. We were not at all disappointed. Large fillets for the price.

All was great....even the jokes. Thank you guys!! Cheers!!

Wrick, Nick and Amy do an outstanding job at making all that enter feel like a long lost friend. As for the food, it is excellent. I recommend the Taco salad. I don’t know what they put in it, but I crave it every time we eat there!

Well lit country grill ambiance. Food was excellent including the fries and the chili. served hot and the order was correct. It wasn't too noisy and the service was excellent. Everything was clean.

Awesome bar and staff. Always a great atmosphere. Food is always above and beyond. One of my favorite places.

Had a great late lunch/early dinner at the black oak. Burger and chicken wings were delicious. Thank you for carrying a top notch Cabernet by the bottle and always enjoy the friendly staff! Will be back soon!

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. One of the best burgers I have had in recent memory. They care about quality and it shows in the final product.

Great place! It is s beautiful building with a Northwoods atmosphere. Beautiful bar and woodwork throughout the place. The owners and another bartender are fantastic. It was very crowded but we were served drinks and food in s reasonable amount of time. They all checked to make sure we liked the food or needed another drink. The pizza and chili are very good.

I really can't say enough good things about the "new" Black Oak Inn. The current owners have now run Black Oak for approximately 2 years now, and I really love how they've upgraded the experience. The lighting is more inviting, the bar is beautiful, the service is friendly, and the food is outstanding. We tried the Friday Fish Fry last night for the first time. It was surprisingly good while being prepared slightly differently from the usual batter one would find in the Northwoods area. This was more of a light panko or cracker crust style, but it was still crisp, and the fish was still tender and flaky on the inside. Not a HINT of dry fish here! The salad bar is small, but mighty! Big shout out to the pea salad! All of us loved it! Also, the cheese curds rival the best in the area. I know that's saying a lot, but it is true!

Aside from that, they have a pool table, darts, games for the kids (as well as slots for the adults), and my new personal favorite, hammerschlagen! If you're unfamiliar, that's worth the trip by itself, in my opinion!

Black Oak Inn is becoming one of my favorite spots in the area. I highly recommend it to all!!

Very snowmobile friendly, with gear room including a heated rack for helmets. Nice atmosphere with large bar. Great food (salad, fresh chicken tenders, and huge burgers), and a nice drink menu. A must stop whether you're on a snowmobile, UTV, or just out for a drive!

Holy Guacamole! This little gem has hands down the BEST cheese curds I have had in the Northwoods. I had the quesadilla, which was ok, just average, but HUGE. My husband had a burger and said it was the bomb. I snagged a slice of pizza from a friend and the crust was buttery and flakey. Shoulda. Couda. Woulda ordered the pizza had I known it was going to be so good.

This is a family owned and ran bar and it shows. They make all of their sauces, curds, burgers by hand. You can get a Sisco burger and curds anywhere but you wont find it at this place.

They even have a handy basked of bathroom supplies for the ladies room.

We will be back for sure!

Dinner and service were great at 6pm on a Saturday. Food came our faster than promised. Definitely will come back.

Wonderful fish fry. They have this short staffed situation in the bag!! Great service and so pleasant. Highly recommend. They have so many menu options and a wonderful fresh salad bar.

Attention Gluten-free eaters of the Northwoods — this is the place for you! (Also, to be fair, this is really a place for everyone and can accommodate G-free eaters with buns and an awesome selection of sides to meet dietary restrictions.) My husband and I had two of the most perfect burgers ever for the perfect Friday night date night. 🍔 Coupled with an awesome staff and lively bar, Black Oak is a must-stop for locals and tourists alike! We have visited black oak many time over the years and it was always just ok. Since the new owners have taken over it has been nothing but great! The food was amazing especially for someone who is GF I had many options and they usually have GF bun options as well! We will definitely be returning often.

Great northwoods eatery! I had the steak sandwich, my husband had a burger; both were fantastic! Love the atmosphere, too! Highly recommend this place!

Stopped in Sunday, great food and atmosphere, talked to owner, had good conversation, Chili was the bomb, best burger I've had in a long time, we will be back.
