Chucks Place

First time here. We got burgers and fries. Grandson got a grilled cheese w/ fries. Daughter got the white n spicy chicken. Service was excellent. All the food was hot and very tasty. Very good. Will definitely be back.

Great little smash burger joint on the north side of Salem. We got chocolate shakes, cheeseburgers, and seasoned fries. It was all delicious.

This was a great find as we were traveling. The burgers were amazing. I especially enjoyed the Wimpy with bacon. The corn nuggets were excellent as well. Chris was a great server and made some excellent recommendations for us. I highly recommend stopping by whenever you are in the Salem vicinity.

Chuck’s Place is fantastic! The burgers are simple, classic, and delicious. In my opinion, it’s sort of like a mom & pop version of Shake Shack. There is a 1950s / classic Americana themed dining room, and then there’s ample covered seating outside as well. Definitely worth stopping by!

1st time eating here! The young man working at the drive thru was super nice, very personable and could count change which is sort of impressive to me considering most teenagers cant!! The food was made fresh, warm & very tasty!! It's also a very clean place to eat!! I will be returning for the Wimpy Burger next time! Definitely recommend this place!

Amazing food and nice workers. My car died while eating here and the owner jumped it for me. Such sweet people! 10/10 recommend and so affordable!

A great local family burger joint. The staff is always friendly. The food tastes great. If they don't have enough seating inside they will serve you outside and it is not a long wait.

Was passing though on my way back home to Louisiana. Saw this restaurant had several reviews with 5 stars. The place was packed, the food was extremely well priced, and the service was excellent. Ive been obsessed with this place since. Can’t wait to pass through again!

Best burgers around. 🍔 I always try and get a picture to share, but I just eat it too fast!! These burgers 🍔 are that darn good. If you've not had a whimpie burger yet, you're missing out. I heard of a contest of burgers where Julians in Flora was up against Chucks, and I lol. No one would EVER put these places in the same category had they eaten each burger. Chuck, keep up the great work! This family restaurant of fantastic burgers has been in my life forever. My grandparents took me, my parents took me, i took my wife for the first time, and my children, and im sure one day my grandchildren. Gary's & Chucks has been a family-friendly community staple for salem for years. I hope it continues to be for years to come.

This is a great little landmark restaurant! They have delicious old time burgers! One of the local favorite has to be cheeseburgers with grilled onions and mustard relish sauce. They have delicious all-u-can eat fish on Wednesday night! Cherry syrup added to fountain drinks is always a winner for my wife. If you are really hungry try a Wimpy burger! You can buy the burgers by the sack and take them home to share with everyone!

Simple exterior, adorable interior, incredibly delicious and very affordable food. The burger patties are handmade, fresh, with crispy edges. Soooooo good 😋
I had a Whimpy and it was amazing, the crinkle cut fries and battered onion rings were great. The service was quick and the owner, Chuck, came over and chatted with us. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this diamond in the rough!

The most superior burgers in Illinois bar none. Great food with an awesome owner. I would recommend driving off the Interstate to eat at this wonderful jewel. If your feeling hungry then challenge yourself to the Brutus otherwise the Wimpy is equally outstanding. One night a week you can enjoy all the fish a person can eat.

Ww stopped here on the way home from SIU . Googled restaurants and they popped up. Good thing they were on Google we would of never known about them. Chuck’s was fantastic , friendly workers , great food , reasonable prices . We usually try to find all the small business restaurants when we travel and I am glad we picked them !

1st time visit, had a double-cheeseburger & fries.
All good, no complaint. Would return, for sure.
