We had a very enjoyable meal. The food was tasty and service was good. The atmosphere was very simple, plus the door bell was a somewhat annoying after a little bit, as we were seated close to front.
Overall positive, would eat here again.

Amazing little Italian cafe and worth the drive off the interstate. I'm a vegetarian and options were a bit limited (wish there were more veggie/mushroom based pasta options), but quality of the food was just how grandma made it, home cooked Italian, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I usually get pasta here but the pizza is also awesome. Highly recommend this spot!

The food here is incredible, pizza is great, pasta is great, and appetizers are great. The base salad is very average. Don't hesitate to go based on the dining room which is old and very basic. This is an excellent place to eat.

Somehow I've been sleeping on this jewel for years. First time in tonight and the food and environment were great! Will definitely be returning.

This restaurant never disappoints. It's been many years since I've been here but called ahead while traveling through the area and our pizza was ready and on the table within 5 minutes of setting down. We had limited time and this made it quite convenient for us. The pizza is amazing, small town little pizzeria worth the visit. They have a nice menu of Italian pasta as well. We will definitely be stopping back again. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for some pizza when visiting from out of state. The food and the service were excellent. The Italian beef pizza was a hit!

Greek salad and tortellini carbonara were really good

Legit the best 🤤 I ate here for the first time yesterday and now I’m trying to find an excuse to drive from Effingham once a week just to eat here. The salad with their creamy house Italian was delicious and their chicken Alfredo was phenomenal. I woke up this morning and decided I was going to have my leftover Alfredo for breakfast. I also had fried raviolis and they were *chefs kiss* I don’t like red sauce much but I tried a bite of the lasagna and it was good. The wait staff was friendly and fast and the bathrooms were clean. The only slightly bad thing is the door alarm. Luckily it wasn’t busy when I was there, but if people were going in and out the entire time I would have been annoyed by it.

How is it that this little gem is relatively unknown? Literally the BEST food I’ve eaten in Illinois!!

Be prepared- the menu warns that it could take up to an hour for the deep dish to cook; it didn’t take quite that long but even if it had- well worth waiting for!! Wow, yummy!

Everything is delicious. Salads, pasta and pizza. My son and I love tortellini and theirs is the best around. They have great Italian Beef too. They added a Chicago style pizza that's great. Have you order it ahead of time as it takes 40 minutes to bake. Prices are good 👍 👍

Very nice Italian restaraunt in Salem. Definitely the best Pizza in town. Our service was excellent. Can't wait to try some of the other menu items.

Great place and food. There will be a wait but it is worth it. Good lunch sandwiches and pizza. Good to still have these classic holes-in-the-wall.

Lived here for 7 years and finally tried it. Now I'm mad I waited. Everything is excellent. The pizza had a homemade feel to it, the Alfredo had a good balance to the ingredients, and the meat pastas had a great flavor. Even the side salads tasted better with pepperoni tossed in it. Although employees should be wearing masks.

We were there on a Sunday night and the place was not very busy. I had a pasta dish that had pepperoni, sausage, onions, green pepper and mushrooms in a marinara sauce. Wow, so good! Liked their Italian salad dressing as well. My wife got a margarita pizza that was also good. The plum tomatoes on it were super tasty. great service too!

By far the best pizza I've had in such a long time! My family also loved their dinner as well. The service was top notch, if I could give this place 10 stars I would. Will definitely be back when coming through this part of town again.

Awesome little place for a nice dinner. Very small, but clean and cozy. Food was very good, very hot, and prepared and served in a timely manner. Waitress was polite and very helpful. Quick to refill drinks and check on things. Pizza was wondeful, and the tortellini carbonara was very good. Overall and excellent choice for great affordable Italian food in this area. Highly recommend.
