Chatterbox Bar

We walked in for the Badger Game. Chris, the bartender, made us amazing Bloody Mary's and gave us amazing service. Every dish we were served was good, but we especially liked the Black and Bleu burger and their Gyros. The atmosphere is fun, friendly and welcoming. I wish this Bar and Grill was in my neighborhood.

Jeff was extremely friendly, it was a slow night and the burger and chips were absolute fire. It was half full of regulars that welcomed us like we were old friends.

My fiance and I aren't from the area, but we happened upon the Chatterbox Bar and we decided to grab some dinner. Upon walking in, there is an immediate friendly, cozy atmosphere. The menu includes soups, sandwiches, appetizers, and other yummy choices. We chose to try the loaded tater tots and fried cheese curds for our starters, both of which were excellent. The coating on the cheese curds was light enough that it wasn't overwelming or greasy, but just thick enough to add a textural golden exterior. For entrees, we both chose fish, as it's Friday in Wisconsin. My fiance chose the traditional fish fry with sweet potato French fries, and I chose the fried fish sandwich. Both meals were fantastic and we left with happy, full stomachs. The staff was very kind and helpful. We felt lucky to have accidentally found this gem and will definitely be coming back.

Chatterbox is the best! Has a great atmosphere, phenomenal bartenders, and awesome food. Perfect for sporting events or just a casual afternoon Best hang in Wausau for sure!

I come here every year for the turkey trot with a few other family members while the rest do the 5k. Always such a fun place with super great service!

Stopped in town late on Tuesday after their kitchen had closed. They ordered Sams pizza for us from just around the corner. Delivered hot snd delicious! These are wonderfully kind people ( scratch that) we call them Friends!

Delicious homemade kettle chips and always excellent service. Unique menu items and a great atmosphere. Kind of a little hidden gem in the Wausau area.

There was plenty of people but it wasn't overcrowded. The st Patrick's Day food was very good. There was a DJ there is a thought he had to be louder than the music. But he's gone today.

Had the fish fry....l couldn't sit on all the high bar stools but l brought my own chair!!! Lol Ate using a chair, while sitting on my rollator seat. 🤣🤣 staff was great, friendly and even mentioned that the ramp was on other side of building. But l was stubborn. I already used stairs to get in. Besides....going down is easier. Lol Fish was yummy, tater tots a bit overdone but still edible 😜 overall?? I would go again.

My favorite local bar, great food and friendly bartenders. The outdoor patio area is great for relaxing and enjoying a beer with friends. They also offer a lot of activities throughout the year like pool leagues, horse shoe and bean bag leagues and golf outings in the summer. All around fun place to watch Packer and Badger games!

Awesome stop. On a bloody mary run to see how places do. Place is a bit far to come back but the breakfast special was great and the service was awesome. If I am ever in the area, I'll be sure to stop in! Thanks guys!

Brenda and Stacy are two of the greatest bartenders in the area! So fun and both have great smiles! Food and drinks are fantasitic, especially the bloody Marys! Had the cheese steak sandwich, very yummy!
