The Spot Coffee Shop

Visiting Fort Payne and happened upon "The Spot" when out for lunch with family. It has more of an open atmosphere inside, and it seems like a renovated old downtown hardware store or dance studio. There’s plenty of space for visitors of any kind here, and a multitude of options on the menu for appetites of all sizes. Tested out the turkey pesto sandwich and their tomato basil soup, which comes with a quartered pickle spear as well as a handful of kettle chips. Great pesto, melted provolone, succulent roasted turkey slices, and fresh red peppers on the most incredible bread for a panini. If I lived here I'm sure I would hang out at this coffee shop that doubles as a brunch spot all the time. Employees are sweet as can be, not to mention friendly.

WOW! I travel all over the country and this is one of the best coffee shops/ cafes!!! The Fall special drinks and Pimento BLT were the best I have had! We even went back the next day! Too bad I don’t live closer :) The environment with the artistic, comfortable, repurposed historic downtown building and friendly positive service were also greatly appreciated.

Staying at Desoto State Park and just cruising through Fort Payne and happened upon "The Spot". Awesome place. Super atmosphere for being alone, with friends or a group meeting. It's bigger inside than you would expect because it's a renovated old downtown hardware store.
If I lived here I'm pretty sure I would hang out at The Spot.
Owners are sweet and friendly. God bless their business and their family.

Cute Coffee Shop with great food and lots of character! In a great old building downtown Ft Payne, the Spot offers delicious sandwiches and lunch fare. Very nice friendly service too.

Beautiful spot to grab a great latte with an awesome date or group of friends. Lovely atmosphere and love the little fire places. Noise travels from the small restroom so don’t sit next to it unless you’re okay with the fact that you may hear someone’s bowel habits. Luckily plenty of sitting areas away from the singular toilet.

This is a cool little coffee shop. Actually, it's not very little. Tons of room to gather with amazing industrial lighting fixtures. We came later in the day so I ordered a decaf latte and my husband ordered a chai. They were SO good! Friendly staff too. I have to drive through this town again tomorrow and I hope I have time to stop!

I ordered my forever favorite- the Spot On. The vibe has absolutely changed in here, there isn’t much art on the walls anymore, and the radio was blaring contemporary-christian music. I’ll be glad when they get live music in here again, for sure. The drink was fantastic, the greenery faux and real was all lovely, it’s changed from a poppin’ rad coffee shop to a lovely little cozy corner coffee shop, and I really don’t think one is any worse than the other, just different. The side door is generally unlocked and available for folks with disabilities, and the staff is friendly and fast. It only took about 5 minutes to get my super special ‘substitute chocolate-add espresso’ drink. I entertained myself with snapping photos, for you lot to enjoy. Stop into the Spot Coffee Shop next time you’re in Fort Payne, Alabama.

The Spot is the best coffee shop! I love to get the sugar free iced brown cinnamon latte breve. I love that they have several sugar free options. The food is always amazing (the Nutella toast is my fav). Also it’s a great Christian, relaxing atmosphere!! Highly recommend!

Love it here! Good place to hang out and great food. I love the chicken salad on a salad and all the drinks are fantastic. Highly highly recommend!

The Oatmeal Cookie Latte was delicious. So good in fact that even after my coffee grew cold it was still enjoyable. And as a person who is not a fan of cold coffee... That says a million.

I have tried coffee shops all over the nation but this is the best one by a mile. Incredible flavors, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere. Absolutely amazing, I can't wait to go back.

What a great coffee shop with a funky local vibe! Also good, lite breakfast bites, too! Lots of seating to do the coffee shop hangout and also for chat group gatherings.

This place is hard to enter when you're disabled, but the staff and atmosphere are very friendly and warm. The milk alternative was a godsend for me. The staff did a great job of ignoring my service dog! It was nice to spend some time here. Will return if my travels bring me back!!!

We stopped here on our road trip and we were pleasantly surprised! It’s a hidden gem and the girl working was very friendly. My husband and I both got an iced caramel latte and normally we only get Starbucks but we both really liked our drinks.

Cute place with cool interior! I only got coffee here, but it looks like the food seems to be really good.

I got the winter seasonal drinks: hot honey latte and toblerone latte.

Got the spicy pimento BLT (ate half before taking the picture) and an iced honey bee. It was soooooo delicious. Ambience is incredible. I felt so relaxed and for the short time that I sat there enjoying my sandwich and drink, I didn't have a care in the world.

This place was awesome! The staff eagerly greeted us at the door. I wanted a cold brew and they didn’t have any. BUT I was given a suggestion for a coffee and tea and they were both spot on. I highly recommend having the Wild Sweet Orange tea. I also highly recommend the Spicy Pimento BLT. It was delicious. Awesome place, you should visit(:

Awesome food with a great vibe. My favorite is the black bean burger! Love the americanos as well. If you are looking for a great spot to kick back open your laptop and listen to good music this is for you. The biggest issue, they seriously need to clean the air. It is so smoky inside you can hardly sit inside for more than 30 minutes. They apparently cook with no ventilation.
