VCA was very kind and caring when we had to bring in our longtime pet for end of life services. They explained things well and handled our girl with care, and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye as well. Also impressed with Peaceful Pines and the services they offer. Thank you!

VCA Wausau has been caring for our “furd” for 12 years. They treat us like family because to them we are. No matter how busy they are they find a way to help us in the most difficult or scary times. We know we can count on them. We have careclub and love it! It helps to ensure our pets receive their routine care shots and procedures by allowing us to have predictable costs monthly versus periodically getting hit with a bigger bill. The vets and their entire staff are caring and oh so thoughtful!! I ALWAYS get a call the next morning to check in and follow up after every appt whether it is for a routine visit or an illness. I have access to a 24 hour help line that I’ve used countless times and they squeeze us in even if it means working through their lunch hour. That’s better care than I receive from my own Dr! Thank you VCA for all that you all do, you are a valued asset in Wausau!

My cat was around me for over 17 of his 20 years and was just wasting away before our eyes with major pain. Thanks to VCA he was finally able to stop the pain, thanks for making it so

Very compassionate people. They give you a thorough understanding of the care needed for your pet. If something isn't needed to be done they tell you along with if there are cheaper options. After a complete exam of your pet your given a detailed list of the procedures that are needed. The cost is listed also so there are no surprises when your done and are presented with your bill. They were also very good with educating us about what was normal occurrences for the situation and what would need immediate care. Great place for pet emergencies that require a higher level of care than your normal vet can do.

I just had my very sick 17 year old dog here today. They were very friendly, kind and informative as to the options we had. They even recommended other vets for the comfort of my dog getting to die at home when the time comes. They spoiled him to the point he actually perked up for the first time in weeks. He left a happy young man!

Had to have my 17 year old dog put down. They were amazing and gave us all the time we needed.

My wife and I have taken our cats to them for years. Always have had excellent treatment. They were even very good with one of the cats who was not very nice when he was at the vet's office. We are on our second pair of cats and have been going there for more than 18 years.

We get timely reminders when they need any ongoing care and the online system lets me easily keep track of health concerns.

For a "franchise" vet, this place is AMAZING! Our dog has had several medical issues on and off since he was a puppy, and they have always been great with helping us, and our dog manage things. I cannot praise the staff enough. Our dog enjoys it so much that he LOOKS FORWARD to visiting the vet here... Even though it's usually when he's in bad shape. Need I say more?

I am extremely impressed with this clinic! They are thorough, answer all questions, and help weigh the pros and cons. They communicate via text which is extremely convenient during the work day. They call to check in and truly care about animals. I highly recommend this vet clinic!

I have taken my dog to Companion Care for over 15 years. Today we had to put him to sleep. VCA has always been wonderful and caring. They truly care for your animals. They always call with a follow up to ask how your pet is doing no matter how small or big the matter. The Medical Profession could take a lesson from this facility. Thank you VCA for caring for my pets, most especially Ben, he was a good dog. I highly recommend VCA!

I do feel they are expensive. But you get what you pay for. They are very thorough. And I feel they truly care about your pets. When we had to put our lab to sleep at Wisconsin Valley Vet they rushed us and then the door was not even closed before they were pulling his deceased body into a plastic bag. At VCA our dog's heart failed and they tried to rescucitate her but she did pass away. They were very kind and gave us an exam room and told us there was no time limit on saying goodbye. We spent an hour in there, we were devastated. But they were just so kind and caring about it and let us grieve. I will never forget that and will never go anywhere else because of it. 💜

We ever so sadly had to put our Cloe down at the same time a grandmother was in hospice here in Wausau. Shayla and Shelly were ever so compassionate to our situation and even spread out a blanket on the lawn to sedate and put to sleep our sweetheart. They allowed all of our wishes to have all our kids around her while giving us all the time we needed for closure. Wonderful people at a great office. Forever indebted.

Couldn't be happier with my experience. I called out of the blue and my dog was able to be seen the day of the call, and she was new to the hospital. The staff never tried to push me towards anything I didn't ask for. I definitely will not be taking Moose anywhere else.

My cat has been a patient of VCA for almost 10 years. The current vet, Dr. Lisa Schnurbach-Koch is wonderful with my grumpy pet. The assistants are nice and friendly too. I couldn't be happier.

This place is the Best!!!!! One vet checked my golden and did blood work on him and called me and said no cancer and a week later he couldn't even walk so I took him to VCA and the
Lady vet Karen took WILLY in and he has cancer
But they gave him meds and hydro pack and he went home and starred eating again ...that vet saved my WILLY bear. I am so greatfull he is still with me ..

We were from out of town, they worked us in, treated my dog with loving care, called to check on her a couple of days later. Wish we lived closer, they would care for my pup.

This was the first time visiting VCA and it was to end the life of our 15yr old pekingese. The staff was very caring to our needs and our dog's comfort through the process.

They always take such wonderful care of my dogs. My boys can be hard to handle because they get scared, this veterinary clinic takes the time to make sure everyone is safe.
