Great LOCAL "theatre". Get your tix at the concession counter for $10, along with reasonably priced popcorn, candy and canned drinks. The seats have been replaced with sofas and chairs, so it feels both like crashing your exuberant uncle's "cinema room" and a night out on the town in one fell swoop. Wilmette Theatre deserves your support also by donating to update their marquee, which seems like it could be the theme of a film in and of itself.

Love this historic theater in the middle of our wonderful village. The movies, live events and overall programming are amazing. Hope to keep it thriving for years to come.

LOVE this independent, NFP theatre! Ticket prices are affordable for movies, and it is a great place to host events. I threw a mom's night out wine & movie party fundraiser for our elementary school, and it was a huge hit. Will host my child's birthday party there next! Plus, a great venue for live music (Holiday Bar Crawl!) and comedy.

I really like the Wilmette Theater. It is small like theaters used to be. It is a non-profit so the concession items are reasonably priced. Each time I have seen a movie here, it has been an enjoyable experience. People who choose this theater remember that good manners are still important and seeing a movie is supposed to be fun, not aggravated.

Small, local theatre with all the amenities and more. One of the two showrooms doubles as a live theatre. Current movies, great concession area, comfy seating and great sound. On-street parking or free lot nearby. Love it because it's a smaller showroom, but screen is large enough.

A charming little theater that reminds us of the old art houses where we went on our first dates. Nothing fancy, but the movies are always interesting and unusual, and the place has an intimacy the big cineplexes just can’t match. Location right in the center of the village with several great restaurants nearby is ideal. We’re glad to support this local gem.

Small, local art house theater with comfortable seats, great adult-style concessions, and superb programming all for an exceptionally reasonable price. Surrounded by a wonderful commercial district with lots of restaurants to choose from for dinner before our after the show. Highly recommended.

A charming little neighborhood theater that any town would be lucky to have. Well worth the 20 mile trip in a snow storm to see Pan's Labyrinth (10 years after it came out)! Thank you for giving me the chance to see it on the big screen again.

My wife and I went here to see a movie. It was the first time in more than 10 years. It is great to see this vintage Theater in the heart of Wilmette with so much character. The theater had a great screen, comfortable seating and a very good sound system. What more could you ask for? There is convenient free street parking all over the downtown area. There are many fine restaurants and affordable places to eat nearby. They even offer alcoholic beverages to enjoy with the movie. We will definitely make a point of going back here again. It is also conveniently located within a short walk from the Metra station in downtown Wilmette, or a bus ride on the RTA.

What an awesome little theater! Wish I lived closer. So glad they had The Last Black Man in San Francisco - incredible movie. Please continue showing these movies that have smaller releases and less exposure.

Great place to see first-run art films. They're a non-profit outfit, which means you don't have to sit through 20 minutes of previews. Moreover, I saw two movies here in one day, so the guy only charged me the matinee price for the second movie. It's located in a great surrounding area, too (lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc.).

They have terrific films with personalised service. The Wilmette Theater always makes you feel at home.
For over a half century I grew up with this theater. They cut it in two theaters a couple of decades ago, but seemed to forget to put in new seating. Now in 2018 I'm bumping up my reading from 4 stars to 5, since they finally installed new theater chairs!

What a delightful theater. The sound is moderate, not blasting like most theaters. It's spotlessly clean, the staff is so friendly you feel like you're home. What a gem!!!

Great small theater and Art Movie house - a throw back to yesteryear. The sound and audio quality is excellent. Great place to take a date who is into obscure or unusual movies.

You just have to love this place with its family room furniture and friendly staff.I'll take this little place over a soulless megacinema chain theater any day!

Nice local theater putting on first run and almost first run movies as well as live entertainment. I have been going to this place for years and likely always will. Good popcorn is a plus.

Wonderful neighborhood theater that plays movies, shows plays, and hosts parties and events. Been in Wilmette for decades and is a great business in the village.
