Very quiet campground convenient to lots of activities. The owner, Janet, could not have been nicer or more helpful. Before we arrived she had texted us directions and suggestions for things to see and do in the area. This made deciding how to spend a short amount of time here much easier! The campground has strong wifi, a pavillion, laundry facilities and a good showerhouse, and we had a pull through site. Highly recommend!

This is not a KOA w all the amenities. Some travelers may be looking for that. This is more like a real campground. It’s in a great location, roads are a little rough but they’re working on it. We have a big rig and a tow vehicle that fit just fine in our spot. Fairly level as well. Friendly people. It was great for our short visit. I would stay here again because it’s centrally located to downtown and all kinds of food, shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. The Wi-Fi was amazing which is very rare in any campground (even the big name KOAs)!

My wife and I had a wonderful time camping here over the weekend. The campground was in a perfect location. Close to the little river canyon as well as close to town. The sites were nicely spaced out and very level. It was super peaceful and quiet which was a big deal for us. The bathrooms were clean and there was even a place to buy firewood on site.

Janet was who coordinated our reservation and was super friendly and welcoming. I swear, the nicest people live in Dekalb County. Everything was great 👍. The worst part about the weekend was having to leave... But we will be back!

Our stay was amazing! Everything you need is nearby. From restaurants and stores to fun and adventures. This place is a focal point for it all. The cleanliness of the park is unmatched, and it only accentuates the beautiful surroundings you witness when stepping outside your camper each day. Mrs Janet truly is a kind soul with a wealth of information to assist guests in making their stay memorable. There are many amenities available here. It was surprising to find ice and firewood conveniently available on site for a small fee. My husband and I loved being able to enjoy a romantic evening watching nature, as the sun slowly set and the fire crackled in the firepit. We look forward to returning soon.

Janet was the absolute best campground hostess! I accidentally booked the entire weekend at a campground 2+ hours away, and she answered my desperate phone call late in the evening, made accommodations for us to stay, and provided tons of information about the campground and weekend activities in the area!

So clean, so friendly, very quiet. Beautiful spot to stay for the weekend with amazing hosts! Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Very nice place and beautiful surrounding area. Tucked into lush Lookout Mountain woods near Little River Canyon and DeSoto State Park, there's plenty of good hiking and camping nearby. The owners couldn't be nicer people or more helpful. I'm already looking forward to a return trip!

Stayed here in 30' trailer in Oct. I liked everything about this park. Wifi was strong, sites were large and clean, place was quite, bathrooms/showers/laundry areas were clean, firewood and ice are available for purchase (reasonably priced)owners were on site daily and provide you with the fastest and most comprehensive check in I've every seen. Location was perfect for hiking or scenic drives to areas numerous trail and waterfalls. Easy drive to Chattanooga, Ruby Falls and Rock City.

Our stay was so much needed and we never wanted to leave and many have been there since day one.Although, we didn't have any luck fishing it was still relaxing and our son and my husband got to do some much needed bonding. The owners are very nice and always improving the campground. We are looking forward to our next little short get away from home just to unwind. We felt at home and very safe there because of the owners getting to know the campers and it was very reasonable, also. We could not asked for a better weekend the weather was awesome. May God Bless the owners and keep growing Sincererly, the Jackson"s

Janet, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. Since this was one of our first RV trips, she was extremely helpful and patient explaining the different "hook up" and space options - power, sewer, water, pull through space or one you need to back into, etc. After we made our reservation, she sent several text messages with restaurant recommendations, things to do, and very good directions to the park. The park itself is quite, clean, and well maintained. The bathrooms and shower were VERY clean and there was plenty of hot water. Firewood for a "camp fire," and ice are available for a nominal fee, which was really handy! It appears there are several permanent residents. Many have landscaped and decorated their spots and which gives it a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Clearly they have pride in their "homes" and are happy with the RV park too. Our RV neighbors were from all over the country and without exception, were so friendly and very respectful.
The park is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. There were a lot of families with children, but again, everyone was quite and respectful of their "neighbors" and privacy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be back!

Looked like a nice campground (I'm so tired of RV parks alongside the interstates as we're traveling last leg of x-country trip). I miss "campgrounds" and this place hit the spot perfectly for us. There was a picnic table and campfire pit.. I say "looked" because we only stayed for the night while traveling through. We stayed on site#1. Very easy pull through. Good water, sewer. The electric 50/30/20 gave us trouble on 50amp. We dogboned down to the 30 and were happy. Free WiFi was awesome. We called to reserve and spoke with the nicest person. Thank you so very much Mrs. nicest person. Now the hook. Thank goodness we had site#1. We're a 40ft 5er and getting to the campground turning off RT 35 (tight turn with ditches on both sides) you're faced with a tight narrow road with a 6-9% grade or more for the short 1/4 mile last leg to the entrance and that's that. Get here before dark. Any shorter camper should breeze right in.. pulling out in the morning I just reversed out of the spot rather than pull through and venture anywhere farther into the campground because I didn't scope out how to maneuver and didn't want to get stuck. So there's so much space right now at the entrance I was able to back out and U-turn to depart. We didn't even look at a campground map.. everything was nice and easy - getting there by 5(before dark), getting out by 8-ish... Hopefully we can come back and stay for much longer. Fort Payne is a beautiful town and so much to visit and tour. Alabama fan club museum. OMG, need I say more?

My husband and I stayed here for a month and a half. It was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. It was so quiet. They had washers and dryers to use and very clean bathrooms. The owners are super nice and helpful. They will take care of any problems you have. Would highly recommend this place and we will go back.

This is a great little Campground. Tim and Janet make sure that it’s clean, quiet, well organized and a place that always feels like home. We will be staying for six weeks and Definitely will be coming back for longer periods of time. We just love this place! I guarantee you, you will too.

I can't say enough about this place! It's quaint and small, but Tim, the owner could not have been more accommodating! After a terrible experience with another local campground, he allowed us to come in with our fifth wheel and set up where ever we needed to, as I was dealing with planning my mothers funeral. Great guy! Easy to work with! I highly recommend this park, full hookups and 50 amp in a peaceful serene environment, not to mention extremely reasonably priced. We even had 25+ people easily on our campsite after the funeral! You won't be disappointed when you pull in, this guy deserves the business, he really has a good thing going and it is obvious he is really trying to make it even better. We will definitely be back. I would give more stars if I could!

Stayed 3 nights and 4 days and enjoyed every minute of it. Very well thought out camping spots. We had plenty of room for the camper and all our stuff. I will definitely be back this year. The owners were every nice and helpful, the restrooms and showers were clean and the place was very quiet.

This place is awesome!! Super cute and peaceful. Even on labor day weekend with it being full it was very relaxing. The couple running the campground was very helpful! We arrived late on Friday night and they were there to greet us and help us back in. It's far enough off the road but still close enough to everything.

Really enjoyed the time I spent at Little River Campground! Excellent place to visit, and I really enjoyed the area. Tim and Janet are very accommodating. The campground is quiet, and peaceful. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone that's planning on visiting Ft. Payne, and it's surrounding communities. One of the great things about this campground, is the fact that they are connected to the City water utility, and it's included in the cost of your stay... No charge for water! Affordable electric rates, as well, for those that plan on staying over a month at a time. The campground is very affordable. Wonderful place to stay if you are there for work, as I was! You will not be disappointed.. this I can assure you! Not sure who Beth Beeler is in this comment/review section...but I think she's pretty disappointed with her life, in general. I read the rest of her reviews...which is a total of 2...and can only surmise that she is a miserable person. Both of her reviews are negative, and I'm pretty sure this is something she may need to work on internally, and with a good therapist. I, also, detect conspicuous undertones of a completely racist agenda. Just my opinion, and purely speculative. Anyway... Keep up the good work Janet and Tim! I really appreciate all that you do! I'll be back, and will recommend to all of my coworkers, to stay with you!
