Townsend Park

Townsend has become a family favorite. The park is well maintained. During the summer there are multiple playgrounds, bathrooms and large open areas to enjoy. The creek that runs through adds fun, a place to cool off and hunt crawdads, and charm. Parking is plentiful and there's sun and shade. During the off season, it's still lovely to go to the one open play area and burn off some energy after long days at school.

This is a very beautiful Park, with large areas, more than one playground, beautiful scenery, picnic tables grills you name it. It has adorable little Bridges with a creek running through it. It's a great place for kids it's also great place for adults just to be in such pretty surroundings.

We had an amazing time here! Tons of stuff for both kids and adults to enjoy. Friendly, helpful park staff, and well maintained facilities.

I absolutely love this park. It's a ways out. Located in Cannonsburg. It's worth the drive. The park features trails and tons of picnic areas. Plus playground equipment for the kiddos. It's a nice little escape from the woes of daily life.

Beautiful park! Numerous shelters, picnic tables, grills etc. and all well maintained. Bear Creek runs through the park and there are several bridges and trails for exploring. There are also 3 separate playgrounds, 2 of which are new and awesome, especially for older kids (4+).

Excellent large park with lodges for rent, flush toilets seasonally open, nice old bridges for photos, children's play equipment and many shaded picnic areas. Lots of woods. Beautiful in the fall. Hiking trails are available.

Beautiful park! Nice trails for walking, playground, pavilion, and a little creek running through perfect for cooling yourself or catching some crawdads. Enjoy the wildflowers throughout spring, summer, and fall!

Well groomed dog friendly, (on leash !) trails. New trails added this year east of section 'C' offering gentle hills and deer !

Peaceful space to roam. Great trails and many trees that beg you to Hammock.

Don't forget to stop by the Honey Creek Inn for a morsel.

I went to the park for Invasive Species Removal through Kent County Parks Volunteer posting on their website. Many people showed up and I learned more than I could have imagined. Thank you Kent County Parks Department for your service to our parks and we the patrons.

Such a beautiful park, one of my favorites. A great place for birdwatching!

So many different little water areas and different playground sites, picnic tables galore. An excellent place to have your next day adventure!!!
