Old-fashioned fun. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife and I shared a huge banana split. The ice cream was very good. Prices are just a tad bit high, but the atmosphere is excellent. There arent as many drink selections and you might expect. They offer phosphates, shakes, and malts. I haven't had the food in awhile, but I remember it being good. Go and visit this shop if you can.

Our favorite thing to get is the combo with fries for me & the slaw for him finished with a banana split for dessert!

I like to spice up my banana split based on the ice cream flavors availability & the holiday! Today for instance I had a banana split with the U.S. Mint with marshmallow topping, the chocolate with caramel topping, & then the Dublin Mint with chocolate topping. Of course I get his nuts because he asks for his on the side!

It worth the drive from St. Louis but make sure you save room for dessert!

This place was AWESOME. My family and I were passing through on our way to our new home in Colorado. From Va to CO this was hands down the best stop we made. The town is a hidden gem. The owner and his daughter are the epitome of great customer service. Both came and talked to us, asking questions about our travels and telling us all about the history of the building/town. There is a bed and breakfast upstairs also that, when I travel home to Va again, I will 1000% be staying there. I can't remember the last time I unexpectedly enjoyed myself that much from a random restaurant pick. This will now be a staple stop on our trip home. Thanks guys for the great experience!

Friendly, quick service! Our cheeseburgers and hand cut fries were some of the best we've ever had! Our banana split was a delicious, generous trifecta of ice cream flavors generously covered with all the traditional toppings and finished with nuts, whipped cream and a cherry...so good! We'll be back!

I absolutely love Dr. Jazz! Their Italian Beef Sandwich is excellent as are the fries, phosphate drinks, shakes, and ice cream desserts!

That was a VERY, cool, rustic place to eat. A genuine soda shop in it, and the memorabilia for decor was amazing. I loved it. I had an awesome cheeseburger, too!!

We have always (for many years now) absolutely loved this place. Great family run biz with good burgers and great ice cream. But, I am leaving this review because of the Chicago style Pizza. We just had it again and there is no place, outside of Chicago, that I have found better pizza. (And it’s as good as any I have eaten in Chicago)

My family and I had a wonderful lunch today. Our server was super attentive and I appreciate that especially since we had 2 babies with us. Our food was served hot and very quickly. The malt was very good. And my 12 year old loved his chocolate ice cream waffle cone.

Such a cute wonderful place. I love "It's a Wonderful Life" so the theme of the place is winner in my book. I ordered a George Bailey, and I can say it was the greatest dessert I have ever had. Maybe it was the kind staff, maybe it was the wonderful atmosphere, or maybe it was just being with good friends, but one thing for sure was that everything was just right. SO GOOD.

A beautiful and delicious experience! The oldest soda fountain in the United States! The decor is perfect and the ice cream treats are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ! 🤗 🍦🍧🍨 A little bit of history accompanied by friendly staff. A perfect place for a dessert or a full meal. They have themed dinner shows November through December, February and March. Thanks for a wonderful facility!

Yum! Our food was tasty and service was fast and friendly. I got the hot roast beef sandwich with hot peppers and it was so good! The bread was great and it was a good portion. We also shared an ice cream which was perfectly sized for two.

What a treasure! Frank and I traveled 2 hours out of our way to experience a piece of the past. Charming wait staff, nostalgic surrounds and sounds and a menu chock full of comfort soda shop favorites. The owner and cook came out to meet us and reminisce about memories of places like this from our childhoods. Thank you for the NY style Egg Cream and the foods prepared with skill and love. Oldest continuously operating soda fountain in the US. Was an old fashioned drug store for years, owned by the same family. I went to college in Lebanon, and remember going in occasionally. It was like stepping back in time. Today much the same vibe remains, but the lovingly restored building is now an ice cream parlor and restaurant. Friendly staff, good food, and great ice cream. Well worth a visit, but check operating hours before you go.

Absolutely the nicest people and the greatest ice cream in the most quaint setting! We are long time customers and have recommended this to everyone we know. We drive over 50 miles one way just to have The George Bailey!

These might be some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. Perfectly cut, perfectly fried, perfectly seasoned. With chili. With ketchup. Plain. Get the fries.

I happened to make it in on a slow Friday evening and the service was attentive and friendly. They accommodated me perfectly in the thirty minutes I had before a play at the Looking Glass Playhouse. I can also vouch for the green soda and the ice cream.

Awesome place! Old school atmosphere, good food, great sodas you can mix and match flavors, GREAT ice cream and the scoops were enormous! An essential part of any visit to historic Lebanon

I went with my 14 year old daughter and she even commented on how nice the staff was. They all talked to her and were very friendly. We ordered lunch and ice cream which was so delicious but so filling. We learned next time we will split lunch and get our own dessert. The Key Lime Pie ice cream was soooo good!!!!
