Grit and Tonic

I live near Denver, and visit the area regularly to see friends. I was introduced to this place last year - now I insist on coming here every time I visit. Excellent cocktails, beautiful food, fun and easy environment, and great staff! No complaints, and I can't wait to come back again!

Great place. High quality. Love the decor. I used their Facebook page for up to date info on their hours and events as they are currently closed during the week. Call or text reservations are recommended for dinner service.

This is one of the best atmospheres. The pickled deviled eggs are by far some of the best appetizers I've ever had. And the wagu and steak filet kabob dinner is phenomenal!!! The not your momma amaretto sour was one of the best I've ever had. And try the drink the downward dog when you go there. Has the vibe of an old time speak easy when you come in. GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!!! Will come back for sure again and again. Just make sure to call and make reservations as they do get busy and booked up fast.

This bar is amazing!! Talani, Lisa, Ruzen and Matt the signing bartender, are so fun, lovely, outstanding mixologists and T is a fabulous Chef as well. Their drinks are like nothing you've ever had before!! A 1920's speak easy feel. The decor is beautiful! Great food, friendly fun, best service ever!!!!

A gem! Feels like an upscale, but not pretentious, Chicago neighborhood bar. Drinks were inspiring and delicious. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back.

The food is absolutely amazing. The flavors, the presentation, the atmosphere it is a must see. I can’t believe we have something on this side of the river that is this spectacular. The chef and owner has a hit. I was so entranced by the food I forgot to take pictures. But seriously, one of my top go to restaurants. I will be recommending this place. Also I will taking friends and relatives for that special dinner out.

Great service. They were all quick and friendly. Food and drinks were tasty, Full of flavor. All meals are small plates, so you will need at least two per person. We shared four between the two of us and was satisfied. Place is nicely decorated.

Outstanding food and service! Great atmosphere too which fits perfect with the top notch cocktails they make. Be sure to order the deviled eggs appetizer. They were the best I've ever had.

This place is a must visit if you are looking for creative dishes and cocktails. They had options for everyone including some vegetarian dishes, including a Pea and Chickpea burger that was delicious. Their menu featured small plates, salads and main dishes that ranged from steak, chicken salmon with creative sides paired for the dish. Menu changes so repeat visits bring something new and interesting! Wished I would have taken photos of the plates to share.

This place is AMAZING! Food, drinks, atmosphere, staff - they know how to do it right!!! This is our "go to" place for date night!! Hidden gem! If you are on the StL side - it's worth the trip! If you are in the area and haven't been what are you waiting for!!!!

Amazing food and cocktails. Fabulous friendly staff. Best meal I have eaten in the US. Small plates but very filling, almost too pretty to eat.

OMG. Can't find a better place for cocktails and unique food. It was fantastic. They have a limited menu that changes often. We ordered at least one of everything and nothing disappointed. Best place to spend my almost 60th birthday! Thank you so much for a great evening.

Beautifully presented, delicious, upscale bistro food and drinks. Great jazz music every other weekend. Owners and staff are very friendly. If you close your eyes you could be in an art district restaurant in any large city.

Love this place! Customer service and quality food is their priority! They helped us celebrate family birthdays. The shrimp and grits, filets, and bacon were amazing! Such fun cocktails too.

Brilliant food and craft cocktail gem in what seems like the middle of nowhere. I was driving across the country and couldn’t be happier stumbling across this joint.

If you're anywhere in the STL metro area and are wondering what to do for dinner and drinks, then come to Lebanon Illinois and experience Grit and Tonic. They are simply outstanding. Hand crafted cocktails and delicious food add to a lively, charming atmosphere. You'd expect to only see places like this in older, upscale areas of St. Louis, but here we are in Lebanon Illinois enjoying first-rate food and drinks. This should be a must-visit for food and spirit enthusiasts.

Disappointed I had not come in sooner. A lovely addition to Lebanon! Recommend making reservations.
