Baker's electricians did a wonderful job! They were very reasonably priced, they were extremely transparent throughout the entire process, and they did the job meticulously. Cindy was incredibly helpful with getting the work scheduled, as well.

From the start to the end, Baker Electric was very helpful. Researched to install back up generator for about 6 months and Baker Electric was best choice. Free estimate, very good communication with Baker's office and very good installation team that explained the generator and answered all my questions. Will for sure recommend them 100% for generator installation and other electrical jobs as well will be using them in the future for any electrical jobs in my home.

If you want the job done right call Baker Electric. I first met them when I had an electrical fire. I contacted Baker Electric who discovered my fuse box was overloaded. It's important for you to know that it WAS NOT Baker Electric who originally did the wiring of this house. I am so grateful to Baker Electric for correcting the issue and I feel so much safer. I'd been researching whole house generators for about six months. i decided on a Generac Whole House Generator.
My decision led me to Baker Electric seeing they were an authorized dealer for Generac Systems. My initial phone call I was given an appointment within a week.
The day of the appointment Greg Baker [owner] came on time and went through the house with me asking numerous questions about our backup electrical requirements for our home. A tour inside and outside of the house and a sit down talk convinced me i had chosen the right company. Greg was very professional and very knowledgeable.
An approximate time line of events needed to take place prior to installation. The generator would be fueled by natural gas so our gas meter needed to be upgraded to be able to produce the BTU's to run their system plus take care our daily natural gas needs.
The day of installation came. The electricians and gas pipe fitters did their work in a very timely manner. The electricians found a problem in the ComEd power lines coming into the power box attached to our house.
I called ComEd and they came out and fixed the problem at ComEd's expense.
The 16Kw Generac Whole House generator was operational. What a piece of mind knowing that should the power grid goes down the automatic switch over and start of the generator takes place. Once the power grid resumes operation the Generac generator auto switches back to ComEd.

Baker Electric did a very professional job. The backup generator installation was done within the estimated timeframe, despite heavy snow in days prior. Did all necessary work to interface with Generac/MobileLink, as well with the County on the building permit. Would definitely recommend Baker Electric for home electrical work, especially BU generator work.

Baker Electric installed a backup generator several years ago and did an incredible job. Since then that generator has never failed to start or run when called upon. The work was completed very quickly and at estimate. I have relied on Baker Electric since then.

Mr. Baker is as trustworthy as you can find, and because of his honesty, dependability and prices he has done several projects for me.
I first used his services, when vacuuming the plug shot out of the outlet and a small electrical fire ensued. He arrived finding my fuse box was over loaded and corrected that. He had to go up to my attic and found my wires were in a bit of disarray and were not in conduits. Well with that being said, I had a room addition put on and with that gave him the task of straightening out my current wire mess. Through the years, he has done lighting in my permaseal crawl space, my bathroom, put up new ceiling fans, and I now have a Generac Generator. My next project is going to be outdoor lighting along my walk way. After that I think I am done. Mr. Baker, thank you for making my home safe with your professional wiring

Baker Electric came out today and installed a whole house backup Generac generator. They done an awesome job. Everything was neat and clean. Thank you for a job well done.

We were very please with the work they did. We needed a heavier wire ran from the house to the garage and added 100 amp box. They were on time, polite and they worked FAST!
