I am so grateful to Harper Funeral home. Their staff, through out the years have been a blessing to our family. They have always made us feel like we were apart of their family. They took very good care of us. The attention, detail and the respect that they have provided to our deceased loved ones has been exceptional. Their kindness and patience was comforting during the recent difficult time as our family has had multiple deaths in the last several months. When your deceased loved one looks peaceful and at rest then you can possibly handle death better. That is what Harper Funeral Home did for me. Dina, Robert Jr, Travis and the many other staff members, past and present, of Harper Funeral Home, Inc., You all, have always provided excellent customer service and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Before i leave this earth i have to get this off my chest i do not like harper funeral home and never will.. reason being the moment you mentioned anything about cremation to them harper an his staff hurry up an set up a cremation appointment for your loved one. why? Because they not making money holding them there and taking up space ..it haunts me till this day 9/28/23 …and angers me that (2) people in my life I wasn’t able get the chance to say my last goodbyes to ..and that is Sallie Mae Bloodworth (my aunt) and Tonetta Bean (My Mother) all because harper rushed everybody at the last minute.. i was in elementary school when my aunt died and he told the family at the last minute to hurry up an get up here to say your final goodbyes because they only have one slot left for cremation an they stuck my aunt in it then in 2014 when my mom Tonetta died none of us got the chance to to say our final good bye’s my last vision of my mother life less body was her layin on her bedroom floor dead not at a funeral home …on a table …in a casket or nothing they just stuck her in that fire an said owell ..and for that my FAMILY BETTER NOT NEVER IN LIFE USE THEM TO PREFORM ANY OF MY LAST SERVICES AN I MEAN THAT ..BECAUSE THEY RUTHLESS AN ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY i will be useing Whitley from here on out… HAPER FUNERAL HOME TOOK SOMETHING VERY VALUABLE FROM ME THAT I CANT NEVER GET BACK WHICH IS (MY FINAL GOODBYE’S) I DONT KNOW WHY THEY STILL IN BUSINESS BECAUSE GOD DONT LIKE UGLY AN GREED BUT HE WILL HAVE HIS DAY AN DEAL WITH THEM ACCORDINGLY mark my words

Apparently you cannot give a negative review for this funeral home because I did a few years ago when my ex died. They were terribly cruel to my son who had just lost his father.
Because of the review my son and daughter in law and I were not allowed to attend my ex mother in laws funeral. She was a part of my life for 30 years and I was with her when she passed.
These people are cruel and show no compassion or understanding. They do care about the money however. Since I have no desire or reason to use their unprofessional services in the future I see no reason not to share my experiences with them. I suggest using someone else .

Not happy with the service at all. The director was rude to my children and not very understanding. The procedures were not explained very well. Waited for basic things like checklists etc. She did not explain what we needed to do. She was very insulting to my children bringing up personal issues. This has been a difficult time and our experience here was hell

Very unprofessional, additional training and staff needed. When you’re in the line of business to assist families after loosing a loved one there is a level of compassion, empathy and professionalism required at all times.
