Chandler River Inn

A sweet inn owned by a wonderful family surrounded by gorgeous views. Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and crisp cotton sheets. We really enjoyed our two night stay. Not to forget the delicious breakfast served every morning. Just perfect!

Amazing place to spend a few nights. The host family are some of the most caring friendly people I have met. We had to leave for work each morning before breakfast and they made sure there was coffee and some to-go breakfast items available for us. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Our first visit to this place was wonderful and enjoyable stay. The location perfect for exploring the local area, including Machias and Jonesport. The inn keepers were very pleasant and welcoming, including their kids that helped out with checking us in and serving breakfast. The breakfast served during our stay was very tasty served in dining area overlooking the river.

Delightful! Extraordinarily lovely setting and views. Historic house is a treasure. Very nice, charming family of hosts.

I could have sworn I had already done this BUT this last year and some change has been a little.... different. We stayed in Aug of 2019 and had an absolutely lovely time. The room was adorable (and very relaxing), the food was absolutely delicious (y'all- it was perfection- wild blueberries, delicious baked goods, eggs benedict- I was in HEAVEN), the owners were phenomenal (had great local suggestions for things to do, places to eat, what to see, etc.). I am currently trying to convince my SO that we need to go back. I'm so glad we found this gem and got to enjoy it. I highly recommend it!

+ Martha goes the extra mile to provide us with all sorts of help to make the stay absolutely memorable, from late check out to being super helpful for our bbq dinner
+ delicious home cooked breakfast, without any of the questionable COVID excuses to lower down the standards as we’ve seen elsewhere in the industry
+ the rooms are well decorated with a lot of charm
+ spotless and clean

We had a great stay. The lodgings are clean and well kept up with a major effort to hold the historic charm. The owners, Martha and Eric, went out of their way to make us feel at home. I should also mention the breakfast were excellent.

We just stayed at Chandler River Inn (Sept 2021) for the first time and it was amazing. Stayed in H.E.Hall room and it was a very spacious room with beautiful view of the river right from our room. Our room also had a huge bathroom with great shower and a forest view from that window. Our home-made breakfast that Martha made every day were delicious and again great view of Chandler River right from our dining room table and it was fun watching the deer playing in yard while eating breakfast too. Chandler River Inn has beautiful grounds to walk around and explore or you can just sit and relax and enjoy the forest and river views. Innkeepers, Martha and Eric are so nice and friendly and they have 2 cute and friendly kids who we enjoyed chatting with during our stay. Also, had fun coloring a few afternoons with their little girl, Marian - I call her "Little Miss Sunshine"...! The Chandler River Inn is close to Machias with some nice restaurants, close to Rogue Bluffs State Park and Maine Sea Salt Co., these are just a few things close by in area. Also, thank you Martha for telling us about Crow's Nest, we enjoyed shopping in that cute gift shop. We will definitely be staying at Chandler River Inn next year when we come up to area to visit our son and family who live close by. Thank you Martha and Eric for letting us enjoy your lovely B and B, looking forward to staying again next year "2022"...!

Everything was an explosion of flavor cooked to perfection. I expect this type of meal in NY city or another metropolitan area, but Jonesboro? Excellent dining experience at a reasonable price.

We went for the waffles. Beautiful setting. The tiramisu waffle was spectacularly naughty. A must try!

They were incredible there. Very friendly and beautiful home with breath taking views.

Rain and all the food was great and tent was heaven sent.

We enjoyed our evening at the Chandler River Inn - H.E. Hall room. It was clean and quiet and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Even the kids pitched in to help with breakfast and they were fun. Nice location very close to town.

Great place. Friendly...
