Jammin' J Auto Repair & Tire

My car has been serviced exclusively by the staff at Jammin’ J for years now, and I have never had a bad experience with them. They are always friendly and knowledgeable, making sure that the work that they do and the costs they charge are transparent to the client. Highly recommend.

The staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful. I dropped by without an appointment and they squeezed me in-between appointments almost immediately. Diagnosed my issue, were transparent about the costs, and recommended me to go to my dealer as the car was still under warranty. All of that combined creates loyal customers. I 100% plan on brining my cars back to them with any issue or preventative maintenance.

This place is AMAZING. They are fast and thorough and honest! It has been a long time since I received the high quality customer service that Cole gave me!! Not only was he kind and genuinely caring of my situation, he also answered all of my questions and told me so much more that Jammin’ J offers. We even got into a little small talk. All of this happened right before closing and not once did he seem rushed. Thank you Jammin J and Cole. I will be back for all routine maintenance and if I have an issue!!

I took a vehicle to this shop to get it looked at before a very long trip. It was my first time in dealing with this shop. I couldn't have been more pleased. I felt they were honest and told me what I would need to do to make the vehicle very safe and drivable. He even took me into the shop and with a flashlight pointed out everything that needed repair. Although I chose not to go with the repairs because I want to purchase a newer van in better condition, I will bring my Scion (which is an older car) in to get it completely road ready before I take it on the long drive in April. I live in South St. Louis and will continue to bring any vehicle I own to this friendly shop.

Have been using this mechanic for almost 10 years. Very friendly and helpful. Might not be the cheapest mechanic out there, but you get what you pay for. This most recent time makes the second time they have come forward and covered repairs and diagnostic fees that were under warranty for free. Never even had to ask if anything was covered by the warranty. Their honesty has saved me well over $2,000 at this point, and I really don't want to trust my roadster with anyone else. If you care about your car this is the place to go. 10/10 and will be coming again

Excellent service with very helpful and professional staff. I shopped around to get multiple opinions about an issue with my car, and this place was far superior than the others. They even offered me a ride service, and they offered to actually take me into the shop to show me the areas of complications with my car. No one else offered any of that. Will be back!

Made my first visit recently for a wheel alignment and was very please with this business. I was informed of an additional repair that I would be needed to complete the alignment, that I had anticipated might be required. Nice clean shop, great communication and upfront pricing laid out. Car work is not cheap, as we all know and finding a place that can be trusted is often hit or miss. This place seems to be the real deal and I will be back. Thanks Jammin' J!

My husband and I have taken our cars to Doug and his team for years. Besides his excellent service we appreciate his integrity most of all. Trust is key. Recently we had an issue with recently purchased pre-owned car that the dealership had not addressed. It was noticeably running and sounding better after taking it to Jammin J.

I took my car to Jammin' J for an oil change and to check a couple of things with it. They gave me a complete assessment of my car, which answered the other questions. They were able to take care of everything, and my car is running great now. Thank you all for your professionalism and great work. I definitely recommend your company to everyone who needs work done on their vehicle to keep it running well and safe.

I've been a loyal customer of Jammin' J Automotive since 2010 (when they were a small, 2-bay garage located on Lackland). I had just moved back to St. Louis and needed to buy a used car. I asked my dad if he could recommend a trusted mechanic who could look over the car to make sure everything looked alright. He recommended Doug Jacquot at Tire Brokers (which is now Jammin J Automotive), and said that he had been going there for many years. Doug was SO friendly, and he looked the car over and gave it a thumbs up, and I've been taking my car there ever since. This place is a true gem. I am proud to support this local, family-owned business, and I am excited that they have grown and recently expanded to a new, larger location. Doug is an honest and genuinely nice guy. They've always been fair and thorough, and they don't try to push things that don't really need to be done. Speaking from experience, as a woman, it is rare to find a mechanic that you can trust. I hope they stay in business for a long, long time!

1/23/24 - Edited to add that Cole has been an exceptionally wonderful addition to the team ever since he started several years ago. He is so kind and pleasant, and always graciously answers my (many) questions with a patient, friendly smile!

I am glad I found this place. Got my car right in and did a Great job getting me fixed quickly. Cole was awesome and everyone there was so sweet. Would recommend to everyone.

Highly recommend! Everyone was nice, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. Huge shout out to the owner for stopping in the middle of his lunch to take a look at my car before continuing an 8 hour road trip with an antifreeze leak :)

Best customer service I've ever received from an auto shop. Fastest too! The only time I've ever not felt ripped off -- I had an electrical issue with an aftermarket alarm that a different shop charged me $500 to "fix". The issue returned, I took it to Jammin' Jay's, and they fixed it permanently for a third of that price within a day. I'm never going anywhere else.

The team is very pleasant and helpful. They found the issues and fixed the ones I could afford. Definitely a good place to take your vehicle. I will be back!

Jammin' J is by far the best of the best! They exhibit the highest integrity and honesty of any automotive company I have ever dealt with in my 55 years of car ownership. I totally trust their workmanship and ethics. If you will give them a try, I feel confident that you will agree!

Jammin J's has always been my go to for any car maintenance and repairs. This visit I was having them look into a potential used car I was interested in purchasing. I trust them and feel they are friendly, helpful and honest.

They were able to take me in right away and patched up my vehicle within an hour free of charge since it seemed like an easy fix. I tried to tip them but they insisted I keep it. Really appreciate them helping me out in a pinch.

I had a very unexpected and last-minute need for battery service and possible diagnosis of another problem or battery replacement and my regular auto place was unavailable. I asked for a referral from AAA and got this place.
I was VERY PLEASED with Doug and Cole and the techs at Jammin' J's. They were respectful, kind, helpful, thorough, quick and responsible.
Got it all done and got my car back, same day!
If I ever need an alternative to my usual place, this is IT!
