Assunpink Wildlife Conservation Center

A 6,300 acre preserve with horse riding & walking trails( permit required for horse back riding.) 3 Lakes ( permit required to fish). Beautiful wildflowers in Spring. Slight hilly areas, can be wet and deep mud after rain, so stay on trails . Picnic tables near parking lot & port o john. Parking lot 8sbig enough to turn around a horse trailer. Ample parking Dogs are,supposed to be on a leash. Hunting allowed with permit, so wear orange if it's hunting season and you are walking , biking, or riding. I have ridden in this preserve many times, beautiful at the change of seasons. Wildlife office is there is you have any questions regarding permits or activities.
**Please be considerate of all using the preserve. Horses and their riders are especially vulnerable if dogs are " off leash" , as some horse's are fearful & that can result in serious injury to horse or rider.
** bicycleist...please give a " heads up" if you are approaching from the rear of a horse.
*** motor vehicles ...slow down when passing a horse

This is an absolutely lovely place to ride a horse or hike. We are lucky to have so many beautiful parks and wildlife management areas in the State of New Jersey! I saw a bluebird today!

Beautiful trails. Perfect for riding, hiking, just enjoying nature. We love it here. Not enough people use it!

Omgosh...heaven on earth. Beautiful place to visit. I would live right in the middle if I could find a home there. You may actually find me in a tent there if my property taxes go up anymore.

Gorgeous spot for birding! Try at the boat launch in early am for a serenely beautiful Vista over the lake.

We use it for 4h meeting and it can hold us like 45 of us so it's pretty big. It's also in a very nice place in the woods.
