Deep Groove Records

Vinyl Me Please recently post the best record store in each state. They selected Bull Moose for Maine. They were wrong. It's Deep Groove. I live in Atlanta and travel a lot. I have been to record shops all over the country, and Deep Groove is a favorite. Come with some time and an open mind, and you will find great music along with great conversations.

My wife and visited for the first time I was impressed with the inventory even more so the condition of the albums. The store was neat and organized. The owner is pleasant and easy to talk to. My wife recently got me into Supertramp so we left with this album Crime of the Century.

I live in Portland and had been meaning to check out Deep Groove Records in Brunswick. I'm so glad I did. David (the owner) was so nice, down to earth and NOT pretentious. I was there the day before and day of Record Store Day. It was very busy in the store but David took the time out to look at some records I had to sell and even cut me a deal on a box set I purchased. The vibe there was very welcoming, very clean, and well organized with a great selection. I will be visiting again, that's for sure!

Great record store! Clean and roomy, with a well-organized, nicely categorized and reasonably priced selection. I found LPs I've never seen before and I have been collecting/ buying for several decades now. 😊 And the owner, David, is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm visiting from out of town and flying home so now I have a problem...how to get all my "new" vinyl home. I will definitely be back the next time I visit the area.

Amazing selection of vinyl, and even better vibes. David is a treasure with a true passion for music and everything it means to humanity, from popular classics to the esoteric. Will definitely make a point to drop by next time I'm passing through!

Great shop! I grew up in Brunswick/Topsham and as a teenager I used to make a weekly journey on my bicycle to Manassas record store on Maine street. It brought back memories of that while looking through the records!

Knowledgeable owner, fair prices both on the selling and buying end. Huge eclectic selection of vinyl from all over the world. If David doesn't have it, he can probably get it, or recommend something you'll enjoy just as much if not more.

Great shop with a nice collection of clean and well-organized records. Competitive prices in relation to other shops in the area and Amazon/eBay. The building and setup was inviting and easy to navigate. Unfortunately did not get to spend as much time here as I wanted due to a flight I had to catch in Boston. Had a nice short chat with the owner who suggested a band for me to check out. I will certainly be back the next time I'm in the area.

An oasis of modern nostalgia. Great selection of great vinyl records. Proprietor David Kowalski has an encyclopedic knowledge of music. I cannot leave the store without an armload of my favorite tunes.

Great $3 bargain bin finds. (Houses of the Holy, Back in Black, Sheer Heart Attack, Sade for $1??) Easy to shop, huge selection of used at reasonable prices. Owner's a good dude who obviously loves what he does.

Killer record shop. Wonderful spot for collectors as all copies are vetted for quality. Rare stuff as well as popular favorites. Clean, organized, and well curated. The owner David (aka VinylJunky) really knows his stuff, so it is wonderful to see him all set up in this brand new space.

If your into original records not remakes this is a good spot to go .inventory always changing and prices vary by condition and scarcity .owner is very helpful and gives discounts on larger orders.i bought 5 albums for 112 dollars . he charged 100 .he also has a professional record cleaner machine that proves handy for getting spills off records.he is always buying records .

When you here people talk about "the good stuff" regarding music, Deep Groove is the physical embodiment of this statement. A lush selection of various genres expertly curated, and thoroughly inspected prior to sale, by the proprietor himself. Oh, and did I mention his records are clean, clean, CLEAN! The blast of the VPI vacuum on site is not for show. Not only is David a treat to converse with, he has an experts level of knowledge behind the music he loves/displays and is a useful guide for one to discover "new" genres. A fantastic setup for a record shop not often seen on this side of the pond and one of the nicer shops I've seen on the East Coast. When available, DG has some rather tasty pieces of vintage hifi gear too. Five stars.

Got the most amazing copy of dark side of the moon. Album sound so rich and different than digital. And, guy was the best with his covid policies. Cleaned everything, very professional.
