Manitowoc Dock

We are taking a coal fired ferry across Lake Michigan. Checking another bucket list item off. 5his is a four hour trip and of you bring sandwiches and drinks the cooler is limited to 12 by 12. Plus no alcohol. However, there is dining and a bar on board.

Been crossing on the Badger for 20 years. The crew is top notch. As some of the passengers increasingly become rude, entitled and disrespectful to the crew. The crew continues to be respectful. The Badger is an amazing ship and this is an amazing experience each and every time.

For the younger generation, this is probably the closest to Titanic they'll get. An authentic coal powered steamship, the staff are friendly and the ship has numerous nooks and lounges where you can play bingo, catch a movie, work on your tablet, or just grab a nap. Although it may not prove more cost effective or quicker than driving to your destination, the ride still provides a few hours out of the car while providing for some great photos and memories, so don't pass it by.

A great historic and fun experience for the whole family. The crew goes out of it's way to make the journey fun, with Bingo and other games and love entertainment. A very unique experience!

All employees here really hustle. They do a great job getting the vehicles on and off. Just keep in mind that the waste water treatment plant is close by and if wind blows at you from that plant it's going to stink. The smell is not from this dock or the rest of the town.

Had a great time on the shoreline cruise. They provided excellent food (included on the shoreline cruise). Do this while you can the EPA might shut them down. Can't wait for the 4th of July cruise.

Fantastic experience. Had a blast. Well worth it. Found out that I didn't need a state room for a 9 am departure from Ludington. But no regrets.

Favorite vacation thing to do every summer!!! We tell all our friends to do it and after they do they love it too. Is the only coal steam ship left. Lots of things to do onboard.

We went over as a family and had a great time throughout the cruise doing things you can't do in a car driving through Chicago...bingo, lunch, movie, reading and even a quick nap on the sun deck. My wife and I are using the Badger again this month to visit our friends in Michigan.

Expensive but well worth the experience

Been in the back of my mind for years. Bucket list says do it. Done 2020! Wry enjoying.
