Sunday funday! Nice stop to try a new place or go to a local favorite! This was our first time and the food was great! Husband and I both ordered crab rolls and seafood chowder.

Chowder had a butter milky thick base which was amazing and full of seafood. Fish, scallops, clams, potatoes. Would definitely have order this again.

The crab rolls had plenty of filling and not a lot of mayo (which is my preference). Served with a bag of sea salt potato chips which is always the best pairing.

Staff was really pleasant with plenty of people on hand. Food came quickly and without any issues. Hidden gem!

Recently discovered this place and love it! The staff are super friendly and I really like the outside eating area . Lobster roll and fried clams are my favorites!

The food was great. Fresh and prepared right away. They had some specials with fried fish and lobster rolls...just delicious. The staff was super friendly. Seating outside, enough distance from other people.

Love this Maine restaurant with the freshest seafood. We had the Lobster special sandwich and cup of clam chowder with oyster crackers. The bread was over flowing with lobster.
From the minute we ordered our meal, delivered to our table and the follow up, our service was impeccable. Everyone there was so nice and the restaurant offers seating indoor and outdoors.
Decor selection matches what you expect Maine to represent.

We're staying just down the street. at Moody Beach RV Campground. Within very short walking distance we found Brown's Clam Shanty on Route 1. What a gem of a place.

The fried shrimp were tender and light. The French fries were crisp and wonderfully seasoned. Karen Audie's Double Swiss Mushroom Burger was juicy and delicious. The portions were perfect (okay.... too much food).

Prices were refreshingly more than reasonable. We tipped when we ordered, and just had to tip again before leaving - the service was so pleasant and sincere. Watching the staff running in the parking lot to deliver orders, and still stopping to check on us while eating our takeout was very hospitable.

I don't know if it was all family working today, but they certainly seemed like family.... 👍

BEST fried clams I've ever had! Tender, not chewy, with just enough batter to be mostly class. Jumbo lobster roll was truly jumbo. Fries were super hot and crispy outside, moist inside. Cute place, service was fast, accommodating and super friendly.

Quick service, loved the fish/ chips. Clam chowder was very tasty. I had it with lobster roll. Lobster roll was small but so fresh and tasty. Staff so friendly. This establishment is pup friendly. Thank you!

Food was outstanding and fresh....I had the fisherman feast and the wife had the lazymans lobster plate both were fantastic

Not from around here. Came here on a group trip with friends and we had a late lunch here. Great food. I got split the captains special with scallops and haddock and they were the best scallops I've ever had. Delish!

Awesome little hole in the wall on US-1. Prices are reasonable and the chowder was just plain ole yummy. Highly recommended.

Great place to start you're Well's Ogunquit experience. Menu, offers the whole family a complete selection. Personally, start with Clam Chowder. A standing spoon delite. The grounds are Very clean, Inside or out. Quick with their orders to help make your time fun & enjoyable. Parking ample, with easy in and out. Five thumbs up all around. Dlc.

My family and I are here in Wells, ME visiting for the first time. This was our first time visiting Brown's Clam Shanty and everything was great! We did a take out order as it's easier to do with 2 young ones. Food was made quickly and was ready when I arrived to pick it up.

The clam strips were outstanding as usual. Fresh, sweet and non-greasy. Delicious. Wish they still had umbrellas over the outside tables though.

Loved the food and the feel of the place. Very light with nautical decor. I wash we had more time. It was our lunch break on the way out from Maine. I had a fishermen's feast dinner way too much food than i could handle and my son had a shrimp basket.

Best fried haddock (fish n chips) I've ever had. Super tasty. The streamers and lobster roll were also very good. I asked for the butter version of the lobster roll and it came with the butter on the side. I expected it to be dressed in the butter, but it was good. I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in town. Also, the location is great because it's outside the heavy traffic in downtown Ogunquit.

Loved the seafood basket! Scallops are huge and the ahrimpa, clam strips and fish are cooked to perfection and taste great. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience here three years ago. Today, I was with friends and recommended Brown’s Clam Shanty. We were waiting at a table for our food and had sodas we had just purchased that we were finishing. Before the food came out, an employee, possibly a manager, came out and rudely stated that they don’t allow outside food or drink. He was quite argumentative and downright rude. Had he asked politely, we were prepared to bring our drinks to the car and purchase a drink to go with our meal. We decided to take the order to go instead. When they brought our order, they mislabeled the containers. I returned when I had received the wrong food and was told that they had just mislabeled it. I said I hope nobody has started to eat my burger. Upon hearing me say something, a girl inside got defensive and asked, “What did you say?” as if I had disrespected her. It’s a shame how a couple rude and disrespectful employees can ruin what could’ve potentially been a great meal and a great experience. Brown’s Clam Shanty has lost my future business.

Quick outdoor with totally awesome crab cakes! I'm sure everything else is great as well

Just a down home fried entrees & bar. I particularly enjoyed the fried class & onion rings.
