This roadside restaurant makes fresh made to order food that tastes amazing. They're super friendly and informative and can accommodate gluten-free diets for those that need it. You order outside but there is seating inside or out the inside was very clean and comfortable. All of the food we tried was delicious I highly recommend the crab roll everything about it was great I would have eaten three of them if money was no object but seafood is never cheap, especially great seafood like this. The fried seafood basket had full-size scallops and shrimp which were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing and the kid's chicken tender basket came in a cool Chevy Belair basket. The tenders must have been great because I never got the chance to try them, my son devoured them. I will return here for sure the next time I'm in town.

I cannot say enough good things about this place.
We have been coming yo Maine every summer for years and this restaurant is better than some of the fanciest and highest priced spots.
All of the food tasted so clean - the fryers clearly have the oil changed/cleaned regularly.
Haddock was light, crispy, and perfect.
Clam strips some of the best I have had anywhere.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service (including a chat with the owner) so pleasant in a time when staff are often anything but, and the dining area clean, cheerful, and comfortable.
Huge kudos to the owner and staff for running such a great establishment through some pretty tough times.

was looking for good seafood, drove by Spinnakers the day before, went back to see if the reviews were true. In short, they are! Ordered a lobster roll, with fries (what they are know for I was told). Added clam strips (my personal favorite), which comes with fries. More than what I will ever eat, but was very happy I did, both were FANTASTIC! 3 different dipping sauces available for the roll; butter, aioli and chipotle aioli. Ordered the butter and chipotle, liked the butter, wasn't a fan of the chipotle, with the lobster, it was very good dipping the fries. Clam strips were OUTSTANDING! Order them. I will eat here again,

Awesome selection of seafood here! I particularly enjoyed the fried shrimp basket here. They have so many choices and everything is freshly made! We came here multiple times on our trip. Would highly recommend

The gluten free fish and chips were very good! The gluten free food is fried in a dedicated fryer.

Our new go to place for great seafood! Super friendly staff and they were very good with ensuring our son's food was allergy free and owner Sarah introduced herself. Good portions for the price! Shrimp was truly jumbo as advertised and the scallops are some of the best in the area.

Excellent! I need to eat gluten free dairy free. The clam strips were excellent, as were the fries. I had the box size and it was more than enough. My husband had the regular whole belly clam platter which included cole slaw and corn bread. I didn’t think I’d be having fried clams again since becoming GF. Another problem solved! Excellent restaurant. Can’t wait for the return trip!
Also great outdoor patio area so our doggie could sit under the table with us.

Everything was great, super fresh and locally or New England sourced. The lobster roll was naked and you had a choice of three sauces. The coleslaw was properly dressed. Chicken dishes were also great. I’d easily go here again.

If you're looking for excellent fried seafood, gluten free or traditional flour fried, super fresh fish, perfectly cooked lobster rolls, and excellent french fries then Spinnakers is not to missed. Best fish and chips I've ever had. Also best lobster roll. The set up of the restaurant is also notable. Food ordering window is outside, large pickup window is inside with plenty of room for maneuvering. Nicely done condiments bar, sparkling clean interior. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Was impressed by every aspect of this restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

Had the fried clam basket (with bellies, $27) and the haddock sandwich ($9.99). Both were excellent! The clams were much better than at our usual favorite clam place, Farnhams in Essex MA, last week. The sandwich was substantial and perfectly fried. Staff was also extremely friendly. Highly recommend!

AWESOME Gluten Free Menu! It was so nice to be able to take our daughter with Celiac out for fried seafood. The regular fried food is great as well. Nice, immaculately clean inside dining room as well as outside dining. We will be back!

We showed up on a Saturday at about 5:00 p.m. There were six of us and our furry family member which all of us were able to sit out on patio. There was only one other family out there. They were quick with their food and we enjoyed Epiphany beer beverage. The staff was very nice, service was quick, and food was good. You will find mostly fried seafood here with a lobster roll and a choice of your basics such as burgers.

Great lobster roll with 1/3 pound of fresh lobster meat, very nice people, good ice cream. Seasonal business so if you don't get there today, you will have to wait until spring. The lobster roll is served with your choice of condiment on the side.

We stopped on a rainy afternoon and the nice, clean indoor seating was nice! The food (Fish & Chips and Cheeseburger baskets) were great—the quantity of fish and chips in each basket would easily feed two with average appetites. The Cheeseburger basket satisfied our 16 year old son—which is a feat in itself!!! The staff were pleasant and the service fast. Would definitely recommend!

Downtown was super busy with no parking. Stopped here on the way out for Lobster rolls and left absolutely delighted. Staff was super friendly and the outdoor patio was quiet and relaxing.

This place is a MUST STOP when we come to Main. It is a gluten free person's dream come true; fried things and gluten free beer!!!

Fantastic meal! We went to another establishment up the street based on friends recommendations, they had a 45 minute wait JUST to be seated and it was CROWDED. My husband and I are GF, we had seen this restaurant several times when we’ve been to the area but never tried it til tonight. When we pulled in the lot was full. It took us 5 minutes in line and we weren’t sitting inside for no more than 10 minutes before our buzzers went off. The food was HOT, fresh cut fries, dedicated GF fryer, breaded and fried GF clam strips for hubs and he was basically drooling and can’t wait to go back. I got GF chicken tenders and they were so crispy and tasty. Our daughter got and enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad and some fries, she’s the biggest critic and was content with her meal. We will go back for sure, GF fried food is such a treat! Thank you to the owners and the staff for providing such a great atmosphere with good quality GF food! ❤

I have celiac disease and have not had fried clams for over 15 years these were worth the wait!, super friendly staff ,fast service and very clean. I had the whole clam plate and it was outstanding! Sarah the owner was so nice and a delight to talk with.

A favorite place to enjoy a lobster roll. Their chowder is another item you don't want to miss. The intersection light makes it easy to get back on what is a very busy highway on the weekends and during the summer.

Dedicated GLUTEN FREE KITCHEN!! 🤩 The gluten-free fried seafood is SO good. The staff was very friendly. I’m so grateful for this place.
