What a gorgeous fall day traveling through the Tunnel of Trees to reach Leg’s Inn. It’s a busy destination and worth the wait for the delicious Polish fare. Our group went expecting the crowd, and just enjoyed the relaxing party atmosphere and view from the back lawn, other friendly patrons and the attentive staff at the restaurant. Our waitress Amanda helped us navigate the menu and in spite of the busy day made our visit special.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Legs Inn, and it was an absolute delight! The restaurant's location, with its magical view of Lake Michigan, provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The stunning vistas alone are worth the visit, but when combined with the delicious Polish food, it becomes a truly exceptional experience.

The ambiance at Legs Inn is charming and cozy, making you feel right at home. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations that enhanced our dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish we ordered was a masterpiece of Polish cuisine. From the pierogies to the kielbasa, every bite was bursting with flavor and authenticity. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food was evident, and it truly felt like a culinary journey through Poland.

The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received, making it a great value for such a special dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Polish cuisine or simply looking for a unique dining adventure with a magical view, Legs Inn is a must-visit destination. I can't recommend it enough – deserving of a well-earned 5-star rating!

Fun, interesting, good food, excellent service. A wonderful place to end the day. Went on the last day of the season. The Inn was packed. No reservations allowed. Our server, Zoe, an Olympics competitor, did a fantastic job. Interesting artifacts, history, and decor. Nice grass area in the back with excellent views of the lake. Will go again.

Legs Inn is situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. The view is stunning, their gardens inspiring, and the food is just the way grandma used to make it. This place serves up the typical “comfort” dishes Eastern Europeans have grown up with - it’s as authentic as you can get. There’s usually a decently long wait, and you can’t make reservations, so be sure you have the time to enjoy the entire experience when you stop in. It’ll take at least a couple of hours from arrival to getting the check.

I've visited the restaurant twice. Sat at the bar on a busy Thursday late afternoon and had lunch on a Friday afternoon. Servers help with the menu and offer tips on the way to taste a bunch. Everything was delicious.
A scenic location if there's a wait and dinners are busy ... browse the gift shops, take in the building, and enjoy the view of Lake Michigan. Well worth the visit!

I've been here many times over the years and it never disappoints. The decor is incredibly eclectic. Like native American meets rustic hunting lodge. The wood working is amazing. There are taxidermy animals in just about every room, so plan ahead if that's not your thing. There's almost always a wait during the travel season, sometimes over an hour. There's also not a lot of parking spaces in the lot so you may end up on the street. Since it's on a highway, there's usually traffic so keep an eye out. There's a gift shop and arcade to help you pass the time during your wait. There's also a bar that never seems very busy. We always sit on the porch. It's enclosed but you still get some of the amazing views. I like the Polish menu, but there are options for people who don't. There's also a kids menu with both Polish and American choices. The desserts are the best! After you eat, take a walk into the garden. You won't regret it. It's one of the main reasons we go here! The landscaping and views are unparalleled.

The most amazing hidden gem. You are happy when they say you have to wait an hour and a half in the gorgeous garden overlooking L. Michigan. You can get drinks from the bar (and sometimes there is live music in the garden). The Polish platters are a must. Soooooo good. And the crazy dessert with ice cream - crumble and berries! Either get there or leave via the Tunnel of Trees. Unforgettable.

A decent drive from where we were visiting (Petosky). But we’ll worth it. Very interesting lodge atmosphere but not overdone. But the food was worth the drive alone. I felt like I was back home on Christmas. Just wonderful. The staff was very helpful and our waitress was fantastic. We had a great evening.

We dined as a large group of 12 on a Saturday. We knew the wait would be at least an hour. We would have gladly waited even longer because we enjoyed sitting in the gardens so much. We were seated outside and we'll taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their meals and overall we had a wonderful experience!

Food and service were wonderful. We had a group of six adults and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. We tried a wide variety of menu items and none disappointed. Drinks were available in the large waiting area while we waited to be seated. We sat outdoors and the views were stunning. We can't wait to stop in again the next time we are in town.

Tunnel of trees to the most delicious Polish food we have had in a long long time. Really long wait for a table so plan ahead! We sat at the bar and cut the wait time. Celebrated our anniversary and will be going back every year. So good!

This is a very loved, ethnic supper club. We have Eastern European roots, so we love the food. We had the Polish platter, which was golumbki, kielbasa and kapusta and 3 pierogi's. Excellent! Great service. Nice atmosphere. We ate outside, it was perfect......Thank you!

We did not stay at the inn. We had drinks, food and enjoyed the environment.

We were staying in Cross Town on Lake Michigan and wanted to try this historic place.

We ordered drinks at the bar, then took them to enjoy the beautiful yard with its view. Service was good and drinks were perfect.

Great history to read and know. Give them a try when in the area or touring the tunnel of trees.

Looking for a unique but traditional Polish dinner? You found it. The food was delicious, service excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable. We ate outside in the garden and had a beautiful view. Don't forget to try dessert! My husband and I shared the berry scarlotka. It was fabulous!

For the record, it's not a hotel, it's a bar/restaurant. From the exterior, I wasn't sure what to expect. It is a super cool place decorated as an old-school lodge. The food and drinks were great. I recommend sitting on the back patio at sunset. There is a large yard behind the patio where you can bring out your drink and watch the sunset.

A lot of great local history goes along with this place along with the architecture. It is one of those places you have to try at least once. The view from the garden outback is beautiful. Nice place to stop if you do the tunnel of trees drive.

Incredibly interesting setting, both inside and out, with ties to indigenous peoples.
Even tho we just stopped and shopped a bit, one worker who may be an owner or manager, nit only helped us but took us outside and showed in detail how we needed to travel. Really pleasant and we loved the atmosphere there.

The Legs Inn is polish restaurant that serve very high quality homemade food. They have a wide variety of food. I got the best blackened white fish there that I have ever. They are in Cross Village right next to the Tunnel of Trees. It is a very nice place to visit in the fall when the leaves are changing at peak season. It is right on the side looking down on lake Michigan. They have an outside courtyard overlooking the lake and you can eat outside if you wish. They are open seasonal (from approximately May to the end of June then they close for the season.) Reservations are recommended because they are always very busy. They are a historic landmark dating back to the 1800's. There is a lot of wood architectures both inside and out of the restaurant and they have a gift shop. They also rent cabins. A nice place to see and visit! They also serve alcohol and have a lounge inside. I can't say much about the lodging because I have never seen it.

What a beautiful place. The restaurant is amazing. We had the whitefish dip which was phenomenal. The beauty outside of the restaurant is amazing. Chairs are sitting right out by the water, beautiful flowers everywhere, music. Legs Inn was definitely key in making our beautiful day even better.

Wonderful meal, Polish food, very authentic and tasty. The venue is unique. The founder was very artistic and the Inn reflects his genius.
Not a hotel, it is a restaurant!
