Superior Shores Resort

Ate at the restaurant, didn't stay overnight. Superb experience! Nicole was a fabulous waitress, knowledgeable, professional and warm. Great well stocked wine cellar! Diversified wine list from around the world.

All of our meal courses were excellent. Well presented, good temperatures, delicious and very creative. Nice dinnerware & drink & wine glasses. Beautiful, spacious restaurant. In summary, this restaurant is a rare treat. They seem to do everything very well.
Must be a great manager, super Chef and well trained staff.....all working together as a good team!!

My husband, son and I just spent a weekend at Superior Shores. We stayed in the main lodge and loved the setup. Being able to access the beach and bonfires with a short two minute walk from our room was amazing. The staff was incredible, even my 13 year old commented on how great the customer service was. We didn’t experience noise from other rooms or floors and I believe the place was booked up. The room was exactly what we expected, had a rustic feel to go with the rustic lodge atmosphere. We did not visit the chophouse as we more so were enjoying the outdoor hot tub, pool and s’mores on the beach. The price was a bit steep for the weekend we stayed but it was peak colors on the north shore so busy and booked everywhere! Would definitely return!

My absolute favorite resort. The cider is always so good! Wish I had the recipe!! The rooms are clean and well maintained. The beach fires are always do relaxing. Highly recommend!

Staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was quick. I love the room and all my friends love this hotel a lot. The view is nice and even with foggy outside, it feels peaceful. I would go back someday for sure!

Shout out to Charlotte at the service desk on 9/13/23!! She was great to talk with. She was able to get my friend and I into a two-bed lake view room (304). We showed up super late, tired and needing a place to sleep. Her and her co-worker were very friendly. The view was spectacular, so refreshing to watch the sunrise

We enjoyed our time here. The welcoming firepit in the front of the resort was lit and relaxing as well as several on the beach. Check in was efficient (Charlotte is experienced and moved the process quickly-the problems from past reviews about check in seems to be remedied.) We loved all the many pool and hot tub areas as well. The path to the lake opened up to a true Northshore experience and didn't disappoint with it's natural beauty, driftwood and sandy beach, this alone is a 10+ Two Harbors is a short 5-7 minute drive for restaurants and shopping so we didn't mind not having breakfast onsight, it gave us a chance to explore the many wonderful eateries near by. The feel of the resort was relaxing and unpretentious, exactly what we wanted. The staff was professional and friendly as well.

Our experience at one of the lake homes was not very kid friendly. Windows didn’t open, they were rotten shut. We called and talked to Tim, one of the nice managers and he helped us work it out and offered compensation for it. It was a big bummer, but superior shores offered us to re-do the trip. We are going to stay at Burlington bay and I’m sure our stay will be much much better.

Great staff - beautiful dining room ~ spendy but awesome presentations & crusine. Great room views. Right on the lake ~fun walking the shoreline.

Rooms are ok at best, a bit out dated. Initially had one facing the parking lot and asked to be moved which they did without a problem, their service was fantastic, front desk staff was great and the restaurant was delicious but very expensive. (Steaks were in the $95 range and sides were $20ish dollars each) nightly bonfires were great! Over all very good experience.

It's casual but kinda fancy.
The staff is amazing, The rooms are beautiful. You can pretty much get any room your going to spend more time on lake. The pools are nice. The steakhouse is a bit spendy.
I had a few issues but they were right on it..
I dropped a star on room due to some cleaning needed but they were quick to accommodate.
My only other problem was there was an offer online it wasn't dated when i went to claim offer it said not to October which i was disappointed as I feel it should have been honored as it was there mistake.
I felt as a false ad
but I was kind and didn't raise a fuss.
I have posted that pics as they changed it right after.
Other then that I'll be back.

We booked an all day snowmobile excursion through Polaris Adventures hosted by Superior Shores. It was our first time booking such an experience, and we will definitely be back to do it again. Trevor was a great host and took time fitting us with the necessary gear and orienting us to the snowmobiles. He was patient with all of my questions. The sleds were brand new, and the equipment exceeded our expectations. The trails were well-groomed and easy to follow; the GPS on sled was super helpful to navigate the many miles of trails in the beautiful Superior National Forest. Put this on your bucket list!

We recently stayed at the Burlington Bay property in a newly remodeled unit. Beautiful room, great view of the water and comfortable bed. Timothy (service manger) and his staff made us feel very much at home, and sent a thoughtful gift to our room after a small service blunder. We've been looking for property in the area and would highly consider purchasing here knowing that anyone who would rent our unit when not owner-occupied would be well taken care of. We will be back soon!

My husband and I booked a room in the main lodge for our 45th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, Alex at the front desk greeted us warmly and quickly had us on our way to our lovely suite. On our way to the room the housekeeping staff wished us a happy anniversary! When we opened the door to our suite, there were beautiful red roses from Anderson's greenhouse from my husband and a bottle of sparkling wine from the hotel! The staff has been amazing, our room is lovely and the view from our room is spectacular! This resort is the perfect location for seeing the North shore! We highly recommend!

Pet friendly is a huge reason to come back. Our room was a king bed with a hot tub. We used the tub daily, and my skin is soft as a baby after the bath salt's the hotel provided. The robes offered for use are wonderful, soft and warm. I did end up purchasing one for myself to take home as a warm memento of our stay. We will go back, for sure.

Beautiful resort with awesome lake views. It has a huge pebble beach that is great for rock hunting. Fire pits on the edge of the beach and also scattered around the property. Indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. It was a little pricey but worth it for us. Dog friendly as well. Room was a little small but very comfortable. It didn’t have a microwave.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (5 days). Awesome staff and everyone was very friendly. Our room was fantastic and very clean. We were able to check in a bit early which was great after our long drive! The view and the room was spectacular! Thank you for an awesome stay! We will definitely be back!

Dinner at the chop house was amazing. I had the wild bore ribs along with walleye cakes appetizers. The staff was kind and professional. Logan the director of food and beverage also visited our table to make sure we were satisfied with our service! Great job guys!

I spent a week in one of the townhomes to recreate a childhood trip from 20 years ago. It's so nice to see how well it is being maintained! We came again for a weekend in one of the hotel rooms, also beautifully kept. The service is great and you can't beat the location. We spent all day every day outside exploring the shoreline.

Our visit was in late September of 2022. We arrived at 4:00 to check in. Front desk staff said room wasn't ready but they upgraded us for free (it was our honeymoon) to one of the nicest rooms they have. This was such an unexpected and appreciated gesture! I'll always remember this experience. Kudos to the staff at Superior Shores!!!!

We could have not asked for a more pleasant stay at Superior Shores. While the weather was cold, the staff was warm and friendly, the room was clean, cozy and well appointed, and our dog appreciated all the free treats! We very much feel this is one of the best places to spend a weekend during a frigid Minnesota winter. We can't wait to go back!
