Judy's Cafe

I recently dined at Judy's Cafe, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. Our server, Kayla, was the epitome of professionalism and attentiveness. Despite serving 9 different tables, she never missed a beat, ensuring that everyone received top-notch service.

Kayla's attention to detail was impressive. She made sure our drinks were always topped off and checked in on us as we were enjoying our meal. Her ability to balance four dishes at a time while serving was a sight to behold, and our food, along with everyone else's, was served pretty fast.

The food at Judy's Cafe was equally commendable. I indulged in the Mile High Omelet and Hashbrowns with Cheese and Onions, and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the Denver Omelet, and he was equally satisfied with his choice.

The ambiance of the place added to the charm, with cute decor that made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. I'm thrilled with my experience at Judy's Cafe and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and a speedy dining experience. Hats off to Kayla and the entire team for making our visit so special!

What a great find! We love small town cafes and diners. Judy’s does not disappoint. We stopped in after our hike of Bean & Bear Lake. It was just what we were looking for. We were given three waters and menus immediately upon sitting down. No-nonsense service, fast food preparation, and most important- DELICIOUS food and pies. We enjoyed it so much the first day we went back the next day for more.

We tried the following foods and entrees and loved them all: Pizza burger, Caesar salad (exceptionally good dressing!), two-cheese grilled cheese, onion rings, hash browns (scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked- SO GOOD and a Judy’s specialty), pizza omelet, cinnamon French toast, chicken dumpling soup, and pie.

The pies we tried were all incredible as well— butterscotch merengue, chocolate banana cream, coconut cream, apple custard, and cherry (last two were warmed and topped with real whipped cream). 😋

Do yourself a favor and skip the crowds at Betty’s- Judy’s has it all!

Great breakfast! Mile high omelette was great! Add the sourdough bread…you won’t be disappointed.

Judy's Cafe has something special, beyond the surface, an energy or vibration just pulsating, calling you in and holding your attention. Perhaps you will visit and see a small restaurant in a northern Minnesotan town, rather nondescript, filled with people you do not know and may never meet again. But maybe, just maybe, you will see, nay, feel, in your bones and in your blood, in the static racing between your synapses, a hum or a familiar sensation that you cannot quite name but know so well, like the remnants of a daydream from days gone by or a sudden bout of Deja Vu. If you feel it, embrace it, and live at last. Be.

Best "value" on the North Shore!
This is simply an old school cafe, nothing fancy, just simple good eating. The food is great, the portions good, and the prices excellent. Not many places you can get hotdish anymore!
Anytime I'm hungry and near the area, I plan to stop there.
For best "quality food" I would recommend Rustic Inn cafe about 1/2 hour further up the north shore.

Great little diner with great service. The cinnamon roll is a must! Sliced and grilled so it’s slightly toasted and warm and soft on the inside! One of the best I’ve had. The hash browns with the works were so tasty! Our server was so sweet and taking care of the whole place on her own. Update: after trying three cinnamon rolls on our MN road trip Judy’s wins by a long shot!

Great food! The Chicken & Dumpling soup was very tasty. I had the Turkey Melt w/cup of soup $10.95. What a deal for a great lunch. My hubby had the Taco Salad with no shell. The service was quick and friendly.

Great place and wonderful value. Awesome service to boot. Had the Walleye dinner and it was great but the homemade veggie soup was the bomb. Maybe the best I have ever eaten. Run, don’t walk here and enjoy some great comfort food.

Excellent food. Large portions and reasonable prices. Service from the waitress initially seemed a bit cold, but then her attitude and attention improved as the meal went on. They have a small parking lot which can get busy (and can be icy). They have homemade pie, which is excellent. They serve all day breakfast. Omelet was good and didn't seem as greasy as some other places.

Two Harbors is a tourist town, but also a small town in its own right with industry and so on. Judy's has a very strong small town vibe, reminiscent of any small town diner in Wisconsin or Minnesota. You'll find locals here, at least any time I've visited, outnumber the out of towners.

Today, the coffee refills were frequent, the hash browns were perfectly cooked - not at all soggy, but with crisp bits and tender bits - and my omlette - the Mile High - was delicious and perfectly prepared.

We were greeted with a smile. And we had wonderful service. It was late in the morning, but had breakfast anyway. My wife and I both had 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and toast , with ham. Everything was done perfect, and the sourdough we ordered was homemade.
We will definitely go there again.

Super nice waitress. Food was good (French dip for me, deluxe patty melt for husband) and prices were very reasonable. The chocolate banana pie was so good!!

We are back in Nov 2021 for more! My kids love the hash browns and caramel roll. I had corned beef hash, husband had Smothered and Scattered (cheese and onion) hash. Both are delicious. The servers were amazing. Totally worth the wait.

This place was amazing. The food came out quick, and it wasn't too greasy. We got service right away. The onion rings were so good, we got another order. Definitely would recommend!!!

Yes, they still have Liver & Onions on the menu, and is delicious as always

Judy's is the perfect little nook in the wall if you want to call it bad or a perfect vintage in the wall for a restaurant they got the best cranberry rice toast which is divine and I also got their cheesy egg omelet which is big and it's just so vintage there and so beautiful that I suggest when you get up in the morning you head there straight right away because they do get busy very fast but I definitely recommend this place for anybody
