I've been here a few times, and Jonny B's has always been great! The place is small, and easy to miss, among all the other businesses, but it is worth checking into. It's a clean, freshly-decorated sports bar with friendly, efficient staff and comfortable seating. But what really puts Jonny B's on the map is their roast beef. It really is slow-roasted for 11 hours, and you can tell. It is the most tender roast beef you'll ever eat! I get one of the junior sandwiches, because even those are piled so high with mouth-watering beef--I almost need a knife and fork! The fries are great, the onion rings are amazing, but if you really want what they do best, stick with the chips to accompany your sandwich. There is a condiment bar, so you can decide exactly what you want on your sandwich and how much. Other sauces can be ordered seperately. Our server recommended the jalapeno ranch dressing, so I took the bait, and I am hooked! It is delicious--just the right amount of spice. I can't wait to go back and try more from the menu (but seriously, I'll probably just get the roast beef again--it's truly the best!)

Best damn roast beef sandwich I think I've ever had. Soooo tender. Staff is friendly and it's a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by if you find yourself in Mankato.

Their Google listing mentioned 11-hour sirloin sandwiches so we had to try it. The sirloin is excellent. It's probably braised low and slow for 11 hours because it's moist and tender despite the fact that it's well done. The place is actually a sports bar which makes a lot of sense since it's just down the street from the stadium. Indoors the high tables are comfortable and the outdoors seating is all about relaxation. The beer list is mostly domestic premium brands although they carry a couple of local craft brews. We tried one and it was quite good, though it could have used more hops as most IPAs do. Just for the experience we tried their deep fried green beans with a sriracha sauce. They are quite good - mostly crunchy batter - and the sauce is not as zippy as you might expect. Service is fast though the sandwiches took a few minutes longer than we normally experience. I can only imagine that on game days this place is a zoo. Other times it's a pleasant and tasty pub.

Came to see Vikings preseason game. Plenty of TVs and also large projection screen. Excellent pulled chicken sandwich! Beers on tap limited to a few domestics, but decent bottled beer selection. Music a little loud, but part of game day atmosphere.

A nifty lil bar, solid local spot to have a couple and chat with friends. Close to campus to boot.

Awesome roast beef sandwich

I have been to Johnny B’s numerous times and I enjoy it every time. Great Food! I recommend the “Succulent Ham” sandwich or the “Big Beefcake” sandwich with Fries. If in the mood for an appetizer you really cannot go wrong with the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks or Mini Corndogs.

Staff is friendly, the Bar Manager Travis is cool and will always put on whatever game you want on...

This would definitely be a Vikings fan bar, lots of pictures of past players and coaches ranging from Mike Tice to Scott Studwell to Adrian Peterson.

Cute place! Great service! I had a chicken sandwich and it was well made. I liked the condiments bar. It was well stocked and everything was good!
